Has anybody got any weird things that usual people find normal but make you feel v uncomfortable. Mine are I hate dripping water or the feeling of wet cardboard or toilet paper. It makes me cringe wholeheartedly, No idea why.

The squeak that cotton wool makes is vile

Finger tips touching, end to end. Makes me feel sick just typing that.

Yestermost · 24/01/2020 23:09

Chewing wool makes me shiver.
Woodlice.
The thought of something piercing a foot.
Spilt ketchup.

FemiLANGul · 24/01/2020 23:09

When you have dry skin on your heels and it kind of catches on your bed sheet.

AlexaAmbidextra · 24/01/2020 23:10

Getting in to a bath that's still wet from the person before.

I’m puzzled. Surely it’s wet because you’ve run water in it for your bath? Do you mean it has to be completely dry before you run your water? Confused

When peeling oranges, the pith under my nails.

Other people brushing their teeth. Gives me shivers down my back and makes my ears go funny, even just thinking about it.

GertrudeCB · 24/01/2020 23:11

An already warm toilet seat 🤢

Shookethtothecore · 24/01/2020 23:12

Velvet. It makes me feel like I can’t breath

HollyHocks13 · 24/01/2020 23:12

Accidentally biting down on the fork when you eat. Even the thought of it is making my teeth grind!

NormaLouiseBates · 24/01/2020 23:14

Hair that isn't attached to a head. Makes me heave a little bit. Even if it's my own.

littleyikes · 24/01/2020 23:15

Polystyrene- the feel the sound, I want to cry.

Sitting on a chair that's still warm from the previous bum.

When people get tape in their mouth wrapping presents and not using scissors and do that pffftttttpttttt spitty thing.

Anyone picking their skin on their hands or feet near me BLUCCHH

when you put leftovers in the fridge in a Tupperware or cling film and it gets a bit condensation-y, and when you get it out of the fridge and open it the moisture gets on you.

I've got fucking loads actually.

Absoluteunit · 24/01/2020 23:15

When I use face cream or something, especially lip balm from a pot and the feel of it when a bit gets under my nail. Shiver

YorkshirePud1 · 24/01/2020 23:16

Polystyrene. Ugh. I just cannot touch it or be near anyone else touching it. Especially if there's a chance it will make a noise.

Wool on teeth - as in people chewing the sleeves on their jumpers. Gah. I have to walk away.

Absoluteunit · 24/01/2020 23:17

YY to Tupperware moisture! Envy

june2007 · 24/01/2020 23:17

Contact lenses, never used them bt the idea icks me out.

substitutingsleepwithcaffeinee · 24/01/2020 23:17

Ooh another one. When I'm in bed and DH's toenail accidentally touches me, I jump up like a cat that's been splashed with water

I hate emery boards and it’s why I’ve only had nail extensions once, I couldn’t stand getting my nails filed and I had my tongue stuck out the whole time, emery boards to me are like nails down a blackboard.
I hate the feel of cotton wool and toilet roll.

Inappropriatefemale · 24/01/2020 23:19

Sharing a spoon with a partner, yes I may kiss him and do sexual things with him but I can’t share a spoon with him, yuck!

Inappropriatefemale · 24/01/2020 23:20

Wool on teeth too!

When I’ve just brushed my teeth then I can’t help but grind the bottom and top set together and I can’t stand the feel of it yet I can’t help myself!

GroggyLegs · 24/01/2020 23:23

The washing up bowl when it's been left full
of manky washing up water overnight, particularly if there's a rim of orange residue.

Scabs of any kind, anywhere. They give me that synesthesia pain thing in my legs as well as the boak.

Hair in the swimming pool, your floating along happily then... It's laced between your fingers Sad

elc19 · 24/01/2020 23:26

Close together holes, barnacles, crumpets, when you see those weird ads on social media when people have holes in their skin etc make my skin crawl and I can't stop thinking about it for ages after🤢🤢🤢

SnorkMaiden81 · 24/01/2020 23:30

People sniffing.

Especially repeatedly!! I do not want to hear the sound of your snot & phlegm hitting the back of your throat Envy < not envy

aspiringnurse · 24/01/2020 23:31

When someone literally scoops the gravy after a Sunday dinner and eats it from their fork.. FIL did it the first time I met him and literally nearly gagged at the table.

Or when someone is stirring food in the microwave, soup beans spag hoops etc and licks the fork.. just liquid foods in general make me feel ill Blush

Have been told it's strange by family/friends.. or when there's a wet dishcloth in the sink just left to stew Angry
