What are your must buys from ikea?

I'm going there tomorrow, and would like to hear what you think are essentials.

Also, what should I order for my lunch?

Meatballs, mash, peas, gravy and the Jam stuff for lunch.

Their vegetable balls with the gravelax salad and followed by a slice of Daim cake is good for lunch. Must buys is pretty much most of the stuff in their kitchen range - I love their Stackable storage jars.

Kitchen stuff and cushions. You must double stuff the cushions though!
And If you don’t come out with a Kalax unit and fabric boxes then you can’t really say you’ve been to Ikea 🤣

Oh forgot - the kids road map rug and lots of lamps or a light fitting that looks like the Death Star

you HAVE to have the meatballs, mash and gravy and the loganberry jam. they have a yummy squidgy chocolate cake next to the daim cake as well. the cinnamon buns are good.

bag clips! my plates/ crockery is the same as the ikea canteen lol. the roasting tin is fab....

Bag of tea lights are always handy to have

rugs are a good price. I didnt like the death star light, but I`m not into starwars. dh on the otherhand...

How did I forget tea lights?!! They have 2hr or 4hr burn time

Sandwich/freezer bags in multiple sizes
Meatballs, they are the only ones that DD eats

And yes Kallax units

The coconut and lime cake is amazing!

I’m a bit worried for you if you go to ikea with a shopping list.
The usual method is to go in to buy a candle and come out 4 hours later with an artificial plant, a wardrobe, 2 rugs, 14 picture frames, a mattress, new lights and a kallax unit, and a very rocky marriage.

This thread is totally putting me in the mood for a day trip to IKEA!!

Oh and me. I think I'd like to live in there. Minus the public of course. Love seeing nice set ups and then want to buy all the things!

Buy coloured plastic beakers, all adults in our house but we have juice out of beakers I love the hotdogs

Check all your pots, pans and casserole dishes before you go and see if you need any new ones. I got a brilliant tall lidded pan that we use for spaghetti, that I didn't realise I needed until I saw it!

Ditto shelving - any nooks or crannies in need of some shelves? Take measurements with you

I also got some excellent teal hand towels for next to nothing

Also agree you go in for duvet and the marketplace hypnotises you into needing a van to get home with your haul.

The feather inners for cushions are very cheap and good too and a roasting tray that's equal to some four times the price.
