What are your must buys from ikea?

I got an excellent thick wooden chopping board about 2 years ago for £12 that would have been about £60 in John Lewis. The whisks for milk are awesome too. Only £1 (possibly £1.50) we use them for hot chocolate.

The usual method is to go in to buy a candle and come out 4 hours later with an artificial plant, a wardrobe, 2 rugs, 14 picture frames, a mattress, new lights and a kallax unit, and a very rocky marriage

@TheClitterati - I kept meaning to update, just been busy reorganising my whole house after my trip

I bought coat hangers, food clips, food bags in every size, recycling bins, kids bunk bed storage for DC2 & DC3, multiple drawer organisers, spice rack for DC1 to use as a bedside ipad holder, tea towels, kitchen utensils, and a frying pan.

I also saw plenty of other must haves, and will be returning in the next few weeks, so keep the ideas coming

I think I have all those things from IKEA apart from the frying pan :)

I'm a massive IKEA fan - need a trip there soon.

I think their fake herbs look really good, especially the thyme and rosemary. And the fake orchids.

I absolutely love their peg boards. Loads of uses on Pinterest and so versatile.

I bloody love IKEA. Haven't been there in ages but feel the need for a trip soon as we are redoing our bedroom and the spare room so am looking for a new chest of drawers and new bed.

DH loves the names of the products. They did a hammock for the garden years ago called SLAPPA (I kid you not!). He was itching to buy it just so I could say, if someone called, that he was in the garden lying on the SLAPPA. Simple things as they say...…

spice rack for DC1 to use as a bedside ipad holder I think I might be the only person in world who uses IKEA spice racks as spice racks!
