Which Star Trek ship would you like to serve on?

I love Star Trek and am looking forward to the new series Star Trek Picard on Amazon next week.

I’ve been thinking about which ship I would like to serve on. Tbh it is easy, Voyager!

I’m sure I’m not the only Trek fan (I’m not a Trekkie) here. Let’s see which is the most popular vessel.

Any bloody Cardassians out there can bugger off now.

Discovery for me, please. Can’t quite decide between Captain Lorca and Ash Tyler. Cor.

Becca19962014 · 18/01/2020 14:50

I really must get round to watching discovery! I'd heard such bad things about it I've not got round to it yet.

MitziK · 18/01/2020 15:18

It's very good. It's the nearest, I think, to the feel of TOS - it's certainly not the huggy, feely TNG or DS9.

I'm pretty sure that putting Nelix in the warp core would have destabilised it. Those things seem to be as temperamental as fuck.

Ahhh yeah. Not a season goes by without the Warp core going bandy atleast 10 times.

MidnightBlue28 · 18/01/2020 15:29

NCC1701-D under Picard ❤️

Becca19962014 · 18/01/2020 15:31

Ah maybe that's why I heard a lot of people slating it. It's next on my ST to watch pile after voyager binge and, I got wrath of Khan and undiscovered country on blu ray finally!

Yamihere · 18/01/2020 15:39

The Enterprise under The Picard. Love Data, Worf and Dr Crusher. Would also be brilliant to tell Wesley to shut up (not a fan 😂). Hopefully wouldn't be in a borg episode though, too scary.
This reminds me that I've not watched the Picard song on YouTube for a while. Best song ever!

iklboo · 18/01/2020 16:04

If it was TOS can I have the Karl Urban version of Bones?

CaptainCallisto · 18/01/2020 16:59

Thank you @Yamihere - I'm now going to have that in my head for weeks

TheFaerieQueene · 18/01/2020 17:38

It’s good to know I’m in such excellent company here on MN with so many Star Trek lovers.

@BWcastle2000 I’m guessing you aren’t a Klingon if you want a tribble. 😉

I think a watch along thread on the 24th might be in order @TheFaerieQueene... make it so.

Arrowfanatic · 18/01/2020 17:50

The Enterprise under Archer. My job needs to be just walking behind him wherever he goes, to keep him safe you understand, not just to ogle his delicious bum in that jump suit.

Pinkbonbon · 18/01/2020 17:53

The one with ensen Kim and chakotae (sp?). Ooft. I wouldn't be getting any work done though lol.

LittleCandle · 18/01/2020 17:57

Any of the Enterprises under Picard - or Will Riker. At a push, the Defiant.

SanFranBear · 18/01/2020 18:00

GooodMythicalMorning - all the Peter David TNG books are excellent but the best one imo is DarkMirror by Diane Duane. I think it leads on to the other mirror ones - so good!

And Zaphod - Marcus was hot but I adored G'Kar... such a brilliant mind. Reminds me of all the Gul Dukat lust here - there's just something about the lizard look, very attractive!

HeronLanyon · 18/01/2020 18:02

As a result of this thread I watched the first episode of voyager (don’t think I’ve ever seen early episodes). That’s the next few weeks gone as far as getting much done ! Hadn’t realised toms history etc.

SanFranBear · 18/01/2020 18:07

Becca19962014 - Star Trek VI was the best purely for the Christian Slater cameo.. now there's a man I would happily get lost on the wrong side of a wormhole with for 70 yrs!!

YourOpinionIsNoted · 18/01/2020 18:08

Oh yes!

magoria · 18/01/2020 18:12

I am going to be really sad here. I have a photo somewhere of myself and DS (in his buggy) on the enterprise D bridge.

I cannot decide between Spock or Data.

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 18/01/2020 18:14

Voyager, because my backstory would change from episode to episode to suit the plot, like Tom Paris being good at everything.

TheFaerieQueene · 18/01/2020 18:21

Strandliv A watch along thread sounds good.

Magoria, tell!!

Strandliv · 18/01/2020 18:26

My favourite Star Trek baddie ever was from a movie. Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan. Awesome performance.

Willow2017 · 18/01/2020 18:29

But I am just imagining that nobody here has properly appreciated the glories of Marcus the Ranger in B5
Me! Like I said up thread I cried like a baby when he died😭

magoria · 18/01/2020 18:33

We went to a Star Trek exhibition/convention and they had the whole bridge there.

DS was just learning to talk at the time so we taught him to point and say nerd a lot. I am such a bad parent.
