Reserve from the usual

You will never find me ordering an Indian takeaway as it is my least favourite food.

KFC - horrible greasy stuff . And calling it a bargain bucket makes it even less appetising

Notthebloodygym · 05/01/2020 21:23

Most of them, as I don't like grease. I quite like Thai and will eat battered fish a few times a decade.

MadamShazam · 05/01/2020 21:33

Pizza, unless its from an actual Italian restaurant. And Chinese, full of msg's and tastes vile.

DaveGrohlsBeard · 05/01/2020 21:44

Chinese

Greasy, gloopy sauces and all so salty.

DelphiniumBlue · 05/01/2020 21:51

We do sometimes have Chinese because everyone else here likes it, but I wouldn't care if I never had it again. I never have KFC.
I like kebab, Indian, or pizza, although pizza a bit too carby for me, and always gives me a stomach ache. Occasionally we can get Vietnamese from the monthly market- that's definitely worth queuing up for!

Apolloanddaphne · 05/01/2020 22:05

Pizza. Dominos in particular. The smell of hot damp pizza box makes me gag.

wheniwonder · 05/01/2020 22:09

local burger bar - overpriced and always a disappointment

JingsMahBucket · 05/01/2020 22:37

All those people claiming MSG in Chinese food triggers something realize it’s a myth right? There’s tons of MSG in other foods you normally eat but you likely aren’t calling them triggers.

lovelytobehere · 05/01/2020 22:59

Pizza unless it's Franco Manca

Shockers · 05/01/2020 22:59

I don’t know about that Jings- a colleague of mine was hospitalised after a staff Christmas party in a Chinese restaurant. She was told it was an allergic reaction to MSG. Perhaps some use more than others.

Dustarr73 · 06/01/2020 02:33

You can ask the chinese not to use msg in your order

Roxingaroundtheworld · 06/01/2020 02:34

Chinese

MashedSpud · 06/01/2020 02:36

Chinese. I tried it once and it was so greasy.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 06/01/2020 02:36

Pizza - not worth the calories for me.

NewYoiker · 06/01/2020 03:01

Curry . I fucking hate it! It sends my Crohns doolally and I hate it. I only end up eating starters, but DH has Autism (only just diagnosed) and he sees Friday night as curry night so I'm doomed unless I make a curry I can cope with but it won't be spicy enough for him 😩

WalkAwaySugarbear · 06/01/2020 03:11

Thai, it's all coconut milk and lemongrass.

I love Indian food and Chinese food.

alwayscrashinginthesamecar1 · 06/01/2020 03:12

Chinese, but only because I am in Australia and Aussie Chinese is weird. I'd bloody love a UK or Irish Chinese! We also never get KFC despite it being our closest takeaway. I don't mind a dirty Dominos though! I make a pretty good curry so never order that, my favourite at the minute is the Vietnamese place round the corner, love it!

SpoonBlender · 06/01/2020 03:18

Another for pizza. Everything they try to do to it to make it 'worth' £12 just makes it worse for me - all larded up and horrible. I'm sure there's good English pizza somewhere, but it ain't here.

Tillygetsit · 06/01/2020 03:30

KFC. Disgusting greasy muck.

HalfManHalfLabrador · 06/01/2020 03:43

Pizza or chip shop

JustMyName · 06/01/2020 03:47

All those saying home made pizza is better than takeaway, how do you make the base? I get that it's quick to cook, but I always thought making the base would just take too long? And if you do make your own, what tomato sauce do you put on? I'd like to try this if it's easy.

JingsMahBucket · 06/01/2020 04:14

@Shockers if your colleague regularly mainlines crisps, pot noodles, or any kind of jarred sauce, or sautéed mushrooms, they’ve been sucking down MSG this entire time and haven’t been reacting to it. There may be something else in the Chinese food she ate (soy, etc.) but this MSG allergy myth has been debunked decades ago.

SunshineDays2019 · 06/01/2020 07:28

Chinese. I'm vegetarian and there is not a lot to choose from (from the 3 takeaways near us anyway}

cliffdiver · 06/01/2020 07:36

Kebab

lastqueenofscotland · 06/01/2020 07:41

I lived in China for a year or so about 10 years ago and can’t eat uk Chinese food now.
