Mine is the Twittlebee woodland saga.
I wonder if the ever got their land back?
Anyone else?

OP posts:
FruitcakeOfHate · 05/01/2020 03:00

without him and his wife.

HalfManHalfLabrador · 05/01/2020 03:06

Yes that was the one Fruitcake. I did read that but but being such a nosy parker I was wondering what happened with that friend in future, if she was still in contact or if the fallout continued (at the golf club Grin)

commoncoot · 05/01/2020 03:36

I remember the Opheliarose one. Search brought up the threads so I'm assuming it wasn't a troll? Mumsnet usually delete those threads pretty fast. I do remember a lot of troll hunting on her threads

Her last update was years ago. I wonder what she's doing now.

The Boswell one Confused

Blahblahblah12345 · 05/01/2020 04:58

The lunch club one. Where someone wasn't paying for her share but kept expecting to get lunch.

Also the wedding invite. She was out for dinner with oh and friends and she was the only one at the table to not be invited.

RubyRed24 · 05/01/2020 05:26

@Moongirl10 the post got deleted as it was now a police matter.

Nutellalovesme · 05/01/2020 05:42

A fairly recent one about a woman who was going to leave her family and friends to go live with her boyfriend in another country. Problem was the boyfriend had "issues" towards her cat as the cat reminded him of her ex boyfriend and so he didn't want her to bring the cat if they were going to live together.
It was clear the boyfriend was controlling her (assuming it wasn't a troll thread)
I don't think she updated

HeronLanyon · 05/01/2020 05:48

I also want to know about the missing ironing board

Abcd trip to Spain’s with c and d who invited themselves and were told they were not invited. All golf club ‘friends’ I think. Lovely b who had been through a lot etc. Know they had a great holiday (without d and e). Would love an update from the golf club aftermath.

HeronLanyon · 05/01/2020 06:09

Also one recent where young woman with abusive controlling partner left and was meeting her mum to leave him. She needed to go back to get her hamster. I hope she’s ok.

Inherdefence · 05/01/2020 06:50

The one where the poster’s son was leaving primary school and she was considering asking out the attractive head teacher. I often wonder if she did it. In my head I like to think that are now a happy couple.

Wonderbag · 05/01/2020 08:12

Another40ththread
Ah, thank you :)

SF1269 · 05/01/2020 08:25

Yes, Ophelia Rose ! I could swear that was taken down by MN because it was eventually confirmed it was troll or a PBP, , but maybe I am getting mixed up.

SF1269 · 05/01/2020 08:29

If the OpheliaRose threads are still there than I am confused with a different thread.

WalkingInTheAir13 · 05/01/2020 08:32

Does anyone remember the thread about the divorced poster with three children? I cannot recall her name. She was having her garden landscaped and a patio laid.

The landscape gardener became known in the postings as GEG - the Green-Eyed Gardener and she went on a couple of dates with him.
There was many a "squee!" and advice on what to wear from posters.

I did wonder if there was a happy ending.

Rockbird · 05/01/2020 08:54

A few years ago there was a thread where the OP was getting married and her nephew (I think) had just dyed his hair green although he was due to be a page boy. She was worried about the pictures. Always wonder what happened there Grin

KatherineJaneway · 05/01/2020 08:57

The lady who posted about the jewellery her husband had bought, but it wasnt for her.

Only very recent, but every time I refresh it says I have a bad connection which I've taken to meaning the thread has been pulled. (Only have the app).

If it's the one I'm thinking of it wasn't a troll but there were lots of troll hunters as the post could have literally been taken from the script of Love Actually.

JPduck · 05/01/2020 09:02

The one where the dog was repeatedly sniffing dh tummy and softzilla

SubordinateThatClause · 05/01/2020 09:07

I often wonder about the poster whose little girl died, Maude. It was so shocking, There were walks with pink balloons arranged around the country to remember her by. I think of Maude whenever I see pink balloons, and think of her family. I don't know if her mum is still on mn - your daughter is remembered.

Villagegreenpreservation · 05/01/2020 09:17

Lunch club for me

daisychain01 · 05/01/2020 09:18

It would be great to have a deleted posts and their message thread, so we could check out threads we've lost. Only MNHQ posting on it, so it's a reference list.

I doubt MNHQ would do this. They hardly want a permanent "troll shrine" that trolls would see as a badge of honour to validate their exploitation of people's good will and compassion (or at its most basic level, some innate satisfaction from being a GF).

BrusselPout · 05/01/2020 09:37

A lot of the ones mentioned, but there was also a thread from a poor woman who was at the end of her tether with her teenage son. He was talking to someone in the US and was showing some really worrying signs with various agencies getting involved - I really hope she is ok and her son is getting the help he needs

yougotanology · 05/01/2020 10:19

Does anybody remember the thread where someone had, mysteriously, booked and paid for a ticket for Xmas lunch at a local pub for the OP?

No amount of investigating by the OP revealed who it was.

Did she ever find out who booked it and did she go?

BrusselPout · 05/01/2020 10:53

Oh and there was a thread where they had booked a lovely holiday and were worried that family planned to hijack it by booking the same and just turning up

stanski · 05/01/2020 10:54

The one where the OP was accused of sending text messages to another school gate moms husband and even though the husband had no idea of them, the other friends phased her out. Think she was in Scotland. Felt so bad for her. It's one of the worst things be accused of something you haven't done and the other is not being believed by the other friends, despite one of them being present when the others husband said he didn't have a clue what she was talking about.

WireBrushAndDettolMaam · 05/01/2020 11:10

There was a poster hell bent on blaming her ex husband for destroying her life and had 18 year old twins. No matter how many people told her she was wrong she wouldn't acknowledge anyone who disagreed with her. She posted several long threads.

Oh yes I remember her! It was apparently her ex husband’s fault that her 18 year olds didn’t apply for financial aid on time. He did it deliberately to ruin her life apparently. Grin

There was a poster who left her partner. Thread 2 was titled red toothbrush. Hope she’s doing ok.

beanaseireann · 05/01/2020 11:12

RedToothBrush updated very recently.
She's doing very well, thank goodness.
