Birdy Friend - the badge that could see ghosts. That must have been a wind up, surely.

Has that thread gone??

JPduck · 20/01/2020 17:23

Birdy friend is still active thread

Freecycle can be so good, I'm sure you'll eventually find what you need. British Heart Foundation shops can be excellent for furniture too @ TheLittleRedToothbrush.

I'm sure the dentist will be fine, I had a terrible dentist as a child but everyone since has been great and never judged the mess it made of some of my teeth.

MrsKoala I am so sorry to read your update about your separation. Life has not been kind to you. I really wish you brighter days ahead, especially with the DC.

Noloudnoises · 25/01/2020 15:15

For a while there were lots of threads about a woman who had custody of her sister's children and was going to be given custody of the her new baby when it was born. The sister was sectioned (?) She was also pregnant herself. So she was going to end up with two babies due around the same time. Lots of threads about tandem feeding etc. I bet she was a troll as there was no update? Anyone know?

SubordinateThatClause · 25/01/2020 15:23

The posts I was referring to go back 12/ 13 yrs. I still think of Maude and ggglimpopo when I see pink balloons.

Weenurse · 25/01/2020 22:49

Can anyone remember what happened with the Mexican house thief?

OP posts:
BedStuy · 25/01/2020 23:05

There was also one where the OP was trying to decide whether to adopt/foster her very young half-sister, had alcoholic parent/s (one possibly died), but OP had four kids herself and already worked into the ground. It's probably still around somewhere but I do think of the thread as the OP was very articulate and in an impossible position.

BedStuy · 25/01/2020 23:13

It was @MrsRyanGosling15 - I hope everything worked out ok for your family, if you're reading.

Aridane · 25/01/2020 23:25

There was a thread where the OP was helping a hoarder friend clear his house. It disappeared and I've not see a new one started.

@bookgirl1982

That was one of the most beautiful, kind and patient thread / OP I have read

Much of the others referred to here are troll threads unfortunately

JPduck · 26/01/2020 08:00

Intrigued by Mexican house thief - can anyone give me a link please? I can't find it. Thanks

SunshineCake · 26/01/2020 08:07

Lavender's Did her dead beat ex stay away and is she and her children okay?

WavesAndSmiles - so many questions.

How OnlyJoking and TrinityRhino are?

What is Somerville up to and how many children does she have with her DH2.

covetingthepreciousthings · 26/01/2020 09:42

Yes, I wonder how that worked out too.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 26/01/2020 09:47

I'm pretty sure the " adopting my niece" threads which kept popping up in various guises were a very odd persistent troll

SunshineCake · 26/01/2020 10:55

The paid for Christmas lunch was never solved and the OP didn't go.

SunshineCake · 26/01/2020 11:33

@TheLittleRedToothbrush I have a spare double duvet cover and two pillow cases if any use to you. And maybe some boys clothes.

SunshineCake · 26/01/2020 11:47

I was never fed up of your updates either @MrsKoala just sorry you had it so hard. I hope things get better for you.

covetingthepreciousthings · 26/01/2020 12:16

Very odd, I had a quick search to try find the threads again, but they seem to have vanished.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 26/01/2020 12:18

Erm.. they've probably vanished because they were deleted for being a troll Confused

WalkingInTheAir13 · 26/01/2020 16:26

I remembered after I had posted on 5 Jan: the name of the OP with the Green-Eyed Gardener, aka GEG was @NoCapes

nozbottheblue · 26/01/2020 17:57

I'd like to find a recent thread- probably still current but I can't find it.
The OP was an overworked single parent trying to get her house straight / clean/ tidy and not knowing where to start, but with the help of mumsnetters had got into a system and was feeling more positive.
I found it quite inspiring and would like to know how she's getting on now.

Anyone help me find the thread?

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 27/01/2020 08:49

I was really affected by the post 'My toddler died' where the OP's toddler had fallen off bunk beds and later died. It was awful and upset me all day and then was deleted. Was it a troll?

The lady who posted a few days ago, she was on holiday, and her husband said he was leaving her. She had terminal cancer, I was really upset for her. The thread was deleted.

I remember NoCapes and the GEG, I'd love an update on that, and also Somerville, the widow who got a happy ever after, I'd love to know how she's getting on.

I clearly spend too much time on MN!

nozbottheblue · 27/01/2020 19:50

Thanks Peridot Smile
