Just seen a famous person in Aldi but I don’t know who

Can you help me?

He’s older, late sixties, early seventies. Tall, white, slim, glasses, white/gray hair. Very well spoken/posh. I’m not 100% about whether he’s a journalist/broadcaster or an actor. Nothing obvious on Google..... a bit vague I know but if Mumsnet can find someone’s ring in Archway I am sure it can help me identify this guy!

Scarscar · 02/01/2020 23:03

@scarbados that would have made my life. Totally jealous Envy

Yestermost · 02/01/2020 23:05

Didn't Robert Kilory silk turn into a UKIP cunt?

BusterGonad · 02/01/2020 23:09

What was Tom Hardy like Pixie? I know he's marmite on here but I quite like is rough and ready look.

Mustbetimeforachange · 02/01/2020 23:10

managedmis · 02/01/2020 23:11

BusterGonad · 02/01/2020 23:12

MustBe this seems to be the thread of the non readers! 😂

FastAway · 02/01/2020 23:13

I’ve met absolutely tonnes of properly famous people through work although I can’t divulge anything as it breaches their confidentiality..... BORING. (I will say Stanley Tucci and his wife are properly wonderful humans).

I once followed Tom Conti around my local Waitrose (not on purpose, it's only got 3 aisles and everyone follows the unofficial one-way system).

I wonder if M Whitehall is used to people recognising him now after Jack bringing him onto television.

PerfectionistProcrastinator · 02/01/2020 23:23

I was at a garden centre recently and said to my friend that there was a famous person here but I couldn’t work out where from. I thought maybe a soap. When she see her, she said ‘that’s Brenda who used to work with us!’

Grin something similar happened to me when I once saw my dentist in Halfords!

Willow2017 · 02/01/2020 23:56

God if I bumped into Anthony Head I would be a gibbering wreck he would run a mile🤣🤣

Cookit · 03/01/2020 07:44

kakak · 03/01/2020 17:28

Larry Lamb?

carybaz · 03/01/2020 17:33

If it's John Humphrys give him a head-butt from me.

mummy3yearold · 03/01/2020 17:34

Elderflower14 · 03/01/2020 17:35

It was Jack Whitehall's Dad...

SploshMeBackwards · 03/01/2020 17:40

steelyjan · 03/01/2020 17:41

DaveTheDesigner · 03/01/2020 17:42

Lives round the corner from me. See him regularly. Switched on the Putney Xmas lights 🤓

1forAll74 · 03/01/2020 17:42

Oh I like Michael Whitehall, he sometimes comes across as a bit of an oldie faffer, but he is a clever guy really, and quite amusing.
