Just that really.

Mine is my fluffy throw for the sofa I’m currently snuggled up in and them cork heat stands you use to put hot pans and trays on from IKEA Grin

Wood burning stove and my car. Both bought last year and love them!

Wauden · 02/01/2020 21:59

Lovely velvet cushions from John Lewis.
The fee for an ad in a website for lodgers and landlords.
My tablet so that I can slob out on the sofa.

YorkieTheRabbit · 02/01/2020 22:05

Our two dogs, love the little furry things

Big bath, deep and long, so lovely to soak in

Wood burner, warm and welcoming

Bean to cup coffee machine

Hive

SpeckledyHen · 02/01/2020 22:09

A car at the age of 17 . Opened up my life having lived in a village with no public transport . I loved driving and the opportunities for socialising and work .

Cherrysoup · 02/01/2020 22:11

My two dogs, worth every penny.

Coffee machine.

Dyson cordless-I’ve never vacuumed so much!

New kitchen, old one drove me nuts.

BellatrixLestat · 02/01/2020 22:14

Cordless vacuum

Babyliss hair straighteners which I bought for £20 10 years ago to temporarily replace my 3rd broken pair of GHDs. Still have them, best straighteners I have ever used.

300 thread found Egyptian Cotton bedding

Kindle

Theroigne · 02/01/2020 22:15

Our Aga. An absolute workhorse and makes an otherwise quite chilly house warm and cosy.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/01/2020 22:16

MrsTumble - loving the idea of you lying in the bath watching a film and eating a three course meal! Grin

OhioOhioOhio · 02/01/2020 22:20

My cordless Dyson.

Rebus1 · 02/01/2020 22:24

Love these kind of threads. Really interesting. My best buys are very practical but have really improved our day to day family life.

Our 9 seater lwb van, makes transporting 4 children and all their stuff around so stress free, fab for camping, cycling and surfing too. Very expensive, even second hand but worth taking a loan out for.

Dishwasher and bean to cup coffee machine also very life enhancing!

IpanemaGallina · 02/01/2020 22:38

Like other posters, my lovely dog, iPad, bean to cup coffee machine, super king bed (very tall dh) but I also totally love my greenhouse.

I use it all year, there’s a bench inside with cushions and a small camping table for my mug and iPad. I’ve kept some potted salad leaves going all winter. When the dc are getting a bit much, I can sit inside, face to the sun, hot drink in hand and take a few moments to myself. Love it.

Bluefargo · 02/01/2020 23:00

Roberts digital radio - I love the radio and we've found lots of great worldwide radio stations - always good music to listen to in the kitchen.

loubieloo4 · 02/01/2020 23:23

I too have invested in two salt lamps!

QueenoftheNowhereverse · 02/01/2020 23:27

Our DCats (rescues but donation made) - especially DCat1. I was horribly depressed but she was skittish, afraid, aloof and generally more fucked up than I was at the time, so I made it my mission to make her happy. Sometimes the only reason I got up was to feed her. Often the only reason I left the house was to find tempting tidbits for her bowl.

My Kenwood mixer. I made 7 pavlovas in four days, my old £6 hand mixer from Argos just wasn’t up to the cause any more. DH has made pasta dough and home made sausages with the attachments.

My iPhone - saved us on many occasions, it’s operating system is simple and more robust than my DHs ignorance (I’m IT in our place).

Plane tickets. £79. I met my DH on that trip, randomly on the street. Almost 15 years.

Hopefully my Lumea.

VerbenaGirl · 02/01/2020 23:33

Sonic toothbrush and sonic cleansing brush. Coffee machine. Slow cooker. Next hareem pants. Decent veg peeler (Oxo).

exexpat · 02/01/2020 23:41

My MacBook Air - I'm on my second, the previous one lasted more 7 years and was still working but battery life was getting very short. I have never had a windows computer last as long or be as trouble-free.

A basic stick blender (JL own brand) with mini-food-processor attachment - I do also own an actual food processor and blender but rarely use them now as I can do nearly everything with just the stick

A proper Japanese rice cooker, with programmable timer and different settings for brown rice etc. My previous one lasted a decade.

Can I include my mirena coil? It was free, but life-changing and wish I had got one earlier.

Uniqlo heattech thermal tops - so warm but so light, you can wear them under anything. I couldn't imagine going through winter without my collection of them now.

emsmum79 · 02/01/2020 23:43

Slow cooker
Extension on our house
Dishwasher

Most importantly - a round of IVF.

SurfingApple · 02/01/2020 23:44

My iPhone
Super-king size bed
Extra long charging cable for iphone
Boiling water tap
My Starling bank account (no cost but I would pay for it - I’m so impressed!)

Never heard of salt lamps before this thread! Just googled it to find out what they are... do they really do all the stuff claimed or just give off a nice glow?!

duckme · 02/01/2020 23:45

My Instax Mini 90 camera. It obviously doesn't produce perfect quality photos and the film is really expensive. But I absolutely love it. I love having the physical photos rather than just having them on my phone.

anon2000000000 · 02/01/2020 23:45

My shark hoover.

IAmNotAWitch · 02/01/2020 23:51

My dishwasher and my Maxwell & Williams peeler.

Lots of other things, but these are in almost constant daily use and are just excellent.

My oven cleans itself as well.

weehoo · 03/01/2020 00:02

Sewing machine - started as a hobby but has generated tens of thousands of pounds from the stuff I've made

Van - cheap and cheerful and had endless holidays in it

Stand up paddle board - can't get over how something which folds into a not too massive bag becomes a boat! Spent last summer on the river watching kingfishers, paddling around the coast etc

fanniboz · 03/01/2020 00:04

Without a doubt my electric blanket. I don't know how I ever got through winter without it. Instant warmth and cosiness. Just don't fall asleep with it on at the highest setting, I've tried and tested it repeatedly and can confirm it's not advised Grin
