We are playing board games Smile

Showered, fresh pjs, then sat on couch for an afternoon of laziness! Scrubbed the house yesterday from top to bottom, so enjoying a day off.

Will have pasta for dinner with red wine, maybe some leftover cheese. Can't wait. Productive year will begin tomorrow Wink

northernlittledonkey · 01/01/2020 14:19

I love NYD, walk, late brunch early easy dinner & tv. Bliss!

tigerbear · 01/01/2020 14:20

I’m still in bed MNing! Briefly made it downstairs for tea and left over pizza, but back in bed now Smile

Scbchl · 01/01/2020 14:22

Lounging around (kids dont want to go a walk or cycle) I have made lentil soup and prepared a roast for later, got my husbands cousin coming around for dinner and will likely play some games with the kids after.

Bbq1 · 01/01/2020 14:53

I like NYD too, it's a nice chill day. Lateish get up then dh and I went to buy a new bed - Super Kingsize no less! Cannot wait for it to come next month. Dh is helping ds,14 put together a pull up exercise bar that he got for Christmas. Will pop round the corner to visit my mum soon then it's a roast later and watching tv. Gradually taking the decs down up to the 6th.

Beamur · 01/01/2020 14:57

Bugger all.
Late breay, cuddled kittens and DD for a couple of hours. Watched TV.
Contemplating a short walk before either more TV or an undemanding board game.
Not even hung over GrinGrin

QueenOfTheSavages · 01/01/2020 14:58

DP in bed with a migraine, so I will be cleaning up from last night's festivities (with a glass of prosecco) and will make us a baked camembert later then steak pie for dinner (if he's feeling better). Probably just watch shite telly and enjoy the peace and quiet.

wildthingsinthenight · 01/01/2020 15:01

I've just got rid of everyone to a football match. I've been packing as we're going away for a few days tmrw to Whitby (my birthday is on Friday) Looking forward to it as NY depresses me usually.
Sorting out what we need to eat that won't last. Shame I need to have Xmas pud and cream at some point today! Grin

wildthingsinthenight · 01/01/2020 15:02

tigerbear I like the sound of your day

Crunchymum · 01/01/2020 15:12

Usually I don't set foot outside the door but today I've decided to get us all ready and walk to the big park (about half hour walk) and let them run amok. Have met up with sister and her kids too, so there is loads of us.

Will head home soon, then Mac D tea and an early night.

EsmeShelby · 01/01/2020 15:17

Did a loony dook, and will be doing laundry /cooking later on

Rockbird · 01/01/2020 15:17

All the washing I neglected at Christmas and basically mooching around. Then steak pie for tea except DD1 who has gone vegetarian today. Then over to family for tea and mince pies. We start back at work/school on the 6th so until then, and while we have family over, it's still Christmas!

Oliversmumsarmy · 01/01/2020 15:24

Normally we are up, we go for a walk and play board games and plan the year ahead.

This year we are all in bed coughing and generally feeling very unwell.

Dd is the only one who isn’t ill (her illness started before anyone else’s)
She is in bed because she didn’t get in till 6.30am this morning

LilyJade · 01/01/2020 15:31

I'm at work in the hospital as an HCA, my shift is not too bad so far.

mrsbyers · 01/01/2020 15:56

Family here at the moment watching the match , going to cook Christmas ham I bought but didn’t cook and have ham egg and chips for supper with buttered bread - can’t wait as have had very little appetite for two weeks

Borkins · 01/01/2020 16:26

Did a nice 3 mile walk this am with friends as we stayed with them last night. Now home and I love my last day of being cosy, lazy and eating lots of yummy food by the tree (it comes down tomorrow)
Watching Sound of Music with DDs. Takeaway, wee glass of wine and film with DH later.
Enjoying the rest as life speeds up again tomorrow!

dementedma · 01/01/2020 16:37

Been for a walk.
Made banana bread with DS(17) who learned the hard way that juggling with raw eggs is not a good idea!
Did dishes and laundry.
Prepped dinner
Still bored.....

Ithinkwerealonenowtiffany · 01/01/2020 17:09

Up early
Ran a half marathon
Cleaned a bit
3 mile walk
Out for tea to the pub (should have been lunch but wasn’t hungry)

Thelastlittledragon · 01/01/2020 17:15

dementedma why are you so bored? Are you bored every day you have off?

Angliski · 01/01/2020 17:23

39 + 6 weeks pregnant so still in bed! We watched a film and I had brunch courtesy of the husband. Me and cat still planning to get up and be very effective with the rest of the day! Honest!

ChestyNutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 01/01/2020 17:27

Feeling dreadful, skin hurts, body hurts, razor blades in throat.
Have lolled on the sofa catching up on TV, fuelled by painkillers.

GriseldaChop · 01/01/2020 17:38

DH has gone to footie, DS has had sickness bug and although not sick anymore needed another day in the house, so I've taken the decorations down and chilled with DS. It's been a nice daySmile

MotherHeggy · 01/01/2020 17:55

Lazy morning.
Went out for a walk along the beach - loads of people doing the same. The High Street was empty.
Not long got home, pjs on,tea in the oven for my son.
Quiet evening planned watching paranormal shows or reading ghost stories with leftovers from last night.

BarbedBloom · 01/01/2020 18:02

We had a really lazy day today, got up late, I did some drawing this afternoon and DH played some games. Then we took down the Christmas decorations as this is the only time we have to do that before the 6th and are now setting up some shelving for my plants. Might watch a film in a bit.

RunningNinja79 · 01/01/2020 18:21

Ran double parkrun and a bit more to make it up to half marathon distance.

Came home, had a bath to warm up, then went out for a late dinner/early tea.

Now DH and DS are watching football on TV, DD's are doing their own thing on their electronic devices. I'm relaxing. Watching a film later then bed before back at work for a couple of days.

NYD has been my favourite day of the christmas period this year (nothing wrong with the rest of the days, but they've all been a bit meh so far and I've really enjoyed today)
