What’s everyone doing today New Year’s Day?

We are playing board games

We live at the coast so feeding the Dc and then me, Dh and boys are going to get wrapped up and have a lovely long walk along the beach to the lighthouse, try and spot some seals and then scooter back along the prom. Movies and a nice tea later on

Pete's Dragon, so sad 😢 tell me it's a happy ending. Everyone either in bed or just up - me. Oh I put a load of washing on and worried now that I've upset the universe 😳

We're going to visit DPs family.

Some laundry... Know your not suppose to on NYD but going away to see family tomorrow for afew days, and want it done before i go

Going out for lunch soon. Mildly hungover so I’m going to eat the world today and start the healthy eating stuff tomorrow .

I went out for a lovely brunch at a friend’s.

Now I’m home I’m tidying and putting away the Christmas decorations. And putting lots of things in the car that are going to charity shop.

Then we are going to pick the dc up from their grandparents and have an early dinner there.

Taking the decorations down - I was going to do it yesterday but we had last minute visitors from some friends we have not seen for ages.

Going to take the dog and children for a walk they need some fresh air and to blow away the cobwebs (both have been quite poorly over Christmas so we’ve not got out as much as normal)

Roast dinner later.

Then some films and popcorn 🍿 followed by an early night as dh has to get up at 3am to go to work.

Nothing much really. Probably some tidying and washing, other than that, chilling, playing some games and watching tele, eating leftover Chinese later.

Back in work tomorrow. Had just under 2 weeks off, but it's incredibly full on when I'm there so I'm not looking forward to it really!

Bit of tidying up, online shop. Popping to friends for a coffee (taking a homemade Dundee cake). Steak pie for dinner and a pudding too (not the usual Wed night tea).
Want to get stuff sorted for 1st day back at work tomorrow (which I’m secretly looking forward to actually 😊). Nice lazy evening watching TV tonight with the remains of the tub of Heroes.
I’ll have been two years sober next month and remember the NYD’s where I felt like utter shite.

We’ve just taken down the Decs and having a blitz of the lounge. Full on deep clean.

DCs both stayed out last night so not sure when they’re back? Will probably have a lazy rest of the day be might play some of our new board games tonight.

We went out last night for the first time on nye in years and years! Got home at 2am so slept in until 10. I now have a headache but am putting it down to a late night rather than the gin
So far today I’ve been shopping and bought lots of lovely veggies for my vegetarian January.
Now having a cuppa before I make soup, veggie lasagne and have a bit of a tidy up and maybe a nap.........

Have popped into town for coffee and mooch round shops. Now taking dog down to beach for a charge around before heading home to drop her off and returning for fireworks on the pier and hots dogs and mulled wine at our beach hut.

Cromer is very lively today!

Been for a dog walk with dc. Now drinking and watching Pride and Prejudice when I really need to get on and make some lunch!

Lazing about in bed whilst berating myself for wasting the day. I didn’t drink last night as am 22 weeks pregnant, but stayed up until 3am and feel exhausted (almost like I have a hangover) today!

Dh and day are watching spider man, I'm just out of. Bath and laying on bed reading. Utter bliss. Steak pie dinner later

Up until 4am (watching quiz shows!) and feeling a wee but hungover today.

Waiting for a restorative camembert to bake while my partner walks the dog. Watching the chase and will have a snooze day!

Just laid out a cheese board to pick at in our PJs this afternoon. Watching one of the Jurassic films on the box. May attempt to cook something later if we can be bothered.

Did parkrun double this morning.
At work for 4 hours now
Then house needs a good clean and making something cheap for tea

Also been for a run (do this anyway 4 times per week). Taken the tree down, picked Dd from her mates house, tidied the house. Dp has gone to watch footie. Teens are chilling in their rooms and I'm now on the sofa with a blanket and a cuppa. I won't be moving for some time....bliss

Watching TV with hair dye on my head.

That's about it. I am back to work tomorrow so I am also feeling a bit low in mood.

@Thelastlittledragon you watched Pete's Dragon? That was a mistake wasn't it? I sobbed throughout. It was awful. I warned my mum not to watch it but she did and deeply regretted it.

We're still in pj's, we've watched two films already, stuffed chocolate and my 12 year old is laying in bed on her phone. It's a gorgeous day but I can't be bothered to move!

Just back from spending 2 hours at Barry Island watching DBIL a d DNephew do the New Year's Day dip. I was bloody freezing and I was fully clothed, I can't imagine how breathtakingly cold the participants were.

Now home, jimjams back on watching films and eating choc.
