I have a ham and a turkey crown/breast and i don't know which is which, can anyone help?

As above! Please can anyone help before i do nigella's coke ham with my turkey?!
Both delivered from butcher. One has string round it, one has red mesh stuff. Both look the same colour to me!! I will attempt to add pics...

It’s a bit hard to tell from the pictures, but surely if you cooked a bit a tasted it it’s pretty obvious which it is by the taste/colour/texture.

Ham and turkey are completely different.

I would say B looks like a turkey rolled up but I'd need to unroll it to confirm.

A is the ham, you can tell by remaining fat. B is turkey, look at the skin.

Yeah mesh is turkey looking at the latest pic.

Must admit I'm another who clicked on the thread thinking 'how can you possibly tell the difference' but I must admit I was wrong!

We have goose and rack of pork. Quite easy to tell those buggers apart!

Mesh is 100% turkey from the colour, fat and texture. I think your butcher made a mistake when he wrapped / strung them - or more likely just used what was to hand.

I really enjoyed this thread, wasn't going to read it as I couldn't see htf someone couldn't know the difference but it was a fair question.
I would have gone for red string turkey, looking forward to hearing how the ham turkey and coke turns out.
