I’ve hand made something for DH which I am proud of and can’t wait to see his face.

DD is in her twenties and hasn’t been into jewellery until the last year or so, and I hope she loves her new bracelet.

DS has nearly no surprises, but his stocking has a bottle of original recipe irn bru which I think he will love.

Dh asked for a photobook and I spent hours on it. I know (from previous years) that he’ll spend hours looking at it.

Just can’t wait for everything - the children’s stockings, their Lego etc! I love giving presents.

ImNotWhoYouThinkIam · 25/12/2019 07:23

Everything I bought. I love giving people things.

DS1 has got the Harry Potter Invisibility cloak. He wants to be a photographer so I'm hoping he can get some awesome photos with it.

My nieces have all got handmade hat, scarf and mitten sets. My sisters know about the hats but not the rest. I hope they appreciate the love that went into making them. (Fully prepared to accept that at 5, 4, 4 and 2 my nieces won't care but hopefully my siblings will).

Nothing I buy DS2 will match up to the Lego Hogwarts great Hall his Dad and Step-Mum have got him but I'm hoping he will at least pretend he loves something!

Rugby tickets for my FIL...hoping the other presents go down well too. DH is most likely to like the brightly coloured Velcro cable tie things I bought him to tidy his office!

Oh my goodness, DD loves her robot cat, I don't think I've ever seen her so happy!

CigarsofthePharoahs · 25/12/2019 08:30

Slushie maker as a shared gift for my boys. They love slushies. I suspect e-number consumption today is going to be off the charts.
DH is getting some pricy whiskey. He's easy to buy for!

pinkcomb · 25/12/2019 09:30

I can't wait for my teenage son to open this .No doubt by 8pm will all have had enough of " look at my hands " Grin

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 25/12/2019 09:41

Not this year but when DD was much younger she asked for Doggy Doo and Gooey Louie the year after. Everyone made such a fuss of how disgusting they were and how it wasn't coming in to my/ grandparents house that when she opened them as the last gifts wrapped in their Santa paper she was in hysterics that Santa had bought them for her after all. It was the best reaction ever.

@tigerbear that is absolutely fantastic and your daughter will love it. I remember the Christmas my mum made me a beautiful four poster bed for my doll. I absolutely treasured it.

JoyceDivision · 25/12/2019 11:12

DC's screamed when they opened their Nintendo switch, which was nice

DD also won't put her jellycat Chloe Clam down. She is usually a grizzly teenager Xmas Grin

NotReve · 25/12/2019 11:28

Awww this is lovely, love to hear how they went down!

Horehound · 25/12/2019 11:37

@KatyMac they're great! Well done!

BertieBotts · 25/12/2019 11:46

Well my lovingly made photo calendar that we were all looking forward to seeing turned out to be.... full of pictures of some random other family :o :o :o

I hope/expect the photo company will send us another one and in the meantime it made for a hilarious moment!

Moominfan · 25/12/2019 11:51

Got my toddler a spider man bike. He said he loves it. Only ever heard him tell the cat he loves her Grin

HerRoyalFattyness · 25/12/2019 12:08

I thought DD would go mad for her unicorn, but she is besotted with her baby doll, who she has named Charlotte, and her hatching dragon, which she has named smaug Xmas Grin

DS1 loves his sorting hat as predicted, and DS2 won't leave his Playmobil police station Grin

I did good this year.

Natsku · 25/12/2019 12:11

@BertieBotts oh dear! I would just put it up anyway and have something to amuse me all year long

Undercoverworker06 · 25/12/2019 12:26

My friend has some stuff of her dad's stored in our garage (long story) We sorted the garage out recently and found a bag of old coins, old shillings, two shilling coins etc that belonged to him. I found one with her year of birth on it, polished it up and put it in a photo placemat thingy I got in a charity shop. (£3 for 4, bargain!)
Sent it with a note saying she's now got a bit of her dad with her, as she lives overseas. She cried!

Undercoverworker06 · 25/12/2019 12:30

I've also made her a mad calendar, with photos of a handbag of mine that's she's been lusting after. It's a designer one, £5 in a charity shop. I've taken photos of the handbag on the beach, going shopping, on a train, plus Halloween, Christmas, new year, Chinese new year etc with appropriate hats, tennis balls for Wimbledon, horses and hats for Ascot etc. Took me ages and it's really funny, she loved it.

Inniu · 25/12/2019 12:39

DH and I usually do little gifts but I have tickets to a Liverpool match in March and a stay in Liverpool for the weekend.

TurkeyStuffingPudding · 25/12/2019 13:07

The silly personalised 'survival' kits I made for my friends. With personalised picture cards and poems written for each person specifically.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 25/12/2019 13:21

It was the "Stranger Things" lego set for DS. I had convinced him it was sold out locally and Very Difficult To Get. So he didn't even bother asking just said maybe they'll get more in after Christmas and I can use my Christmas money. He was very happy Smile

Toomanycats99 · 25/12/2019 13:52

Well as predicted she loved the tv however she was equally as happy about the £1.20 Billie Eilish beanie from Ali express!

CormoranStrike · 25/12/2019 15:10

I made my husband a quilt to cuddle up on the couch with while watching TV! It went down well
