56 min 25 sec ... woah. That's a 'I fucking hate you, don't ever touch me again shrug' if ever I seen one!

Poor Catherine, she seems lovely 😢

OP posts:

Omg I’ve just watched the first ten minutes and I think I’m in love with Katherine 😳

I’ll watch the rest later but yeah. She just seems lovely.

She is perfection

Quirrelsotherface · 17/12/2019 13:22

I find it odd that such a specific, tiny moment has been pointed out, a whole thread created no less, from a programme which has had an overwhelming positive reaction all over the world. Odd indeed.

Caledoniahasmyheartforever · 17/12/2019 13:50

(Disclaimer that only the two people involved in an affair know everything that actually has gone on but this comment is on the assumption that an affair has happened)

Poor Kate, I wonder if Harry and William have fallen out over the affair then- Harry and Kate were always close. I can’t help thinking how disappointed Diana would be in William, I thought better of William, but it seems he has followed in his Fathers (And his grandfathers) footsteps. Kate always seemed so genuinely in love with William, I can only imagine how devastated she must feel. Not to mention trapped! Kate’s family must be furious with William!

Wildorchidz · 17/12/2019 13:55

I can guarantee that if it was Meghan there would've been at least 3 threads on MN before the programme even aired, all about why she shouldn't be doing it and accusing her of making celebrities out of the royals!

Yes. Blaming her PR people. Wondering if the Queen approved etc etc

CallaLilli · 17/12/2019 14:03

Not really odd @Quirrelsotherface when you consider the Duchess of Sussex has to only sneeze loudly for Mumsnet to want to discuss it!

Bogrod · 17/12/2019 14:11

Katherine is just graciousness and dignity personified isn’t she?

BarbedBloom · 17/12/2019 14:11

@Caledoniahasmyheartforever That was what all the gossip sites said, that they had fallen out over the affair as Harry and Kate are very close.

Jumpi · 17/12/2019 14:57

I really enjoyed the programme. I couldn’t sit through the Harry and Meghan one, it just seemed tone deaf. The Charles one was a bit dull too but would happily watch Mary and the Cambridges every year.

DingDongSchadenfreudeOnHigh · 17/12/2019 16:02

My aunt Fanny's husbands cousin said she knows someone's niece's friend who is privy to the details of someone else's marriage and is gossiping and bitching all over t'internet about it but she has no proof or evidence and is gloating over something she's sure somebody else said.

I can confirm this is true - my window-cleaner's auntie has our cat's brother, and she heard the story from the child-miner of our Bulgarian neighbour's ex-wife and told me, so it must be right.

Was it a musical?

Jumpi · 17/12/2019 16:41

Yeah

astralweaks · 17/12/2019 17:10

Kate and Wills are very well suited.

MineralSpinner · 17/12/2019 17:37

What absolute bollocks. Fucking hell, some people just look for problems and when they don't find them make them up. Pathetic, and says way more about you than them.

My DD loves Mary Berry so we watched it, I thought they came off very well. Kind and genuine.

DoTheHop · 17/12/2019 17:43

I watched this yesterday, and I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about. Is it where she physically shudders when he touches her?

DoTheHop · 17/12/2019 17:59

It's amusing and ironic that there are at least 10 posters, on a thread which has NOTHING to do with Meghan, trying to make it about Meghan and suggesting that Meghan is harassed. 'Yes dear, by posters like you'.

Katherine is absolutely stunning, graceful and lovely.

PortiaCastis · 17/12/2019 18:01

Yep agreed what absolute bollocks, some folks would love a marriage to be failing and grubbing about looking for clues says more about those that do it than the marriage itself

DoTheHop · 17/12/2019 18:02

Odd that the footage has been removed by some sources though.

As for the poster scathingly saying 'yes, the RF are scouring MN' or similar, I can say with absolute confidence that there are companies whose sole purpose is to scour media for mention of their clients. I know as I was interviewed for a job with one such company (didn't get the job unfortunately).

heath48 · 17/12/2019 18:05

Dear me,she just moved on her seat!!! Watched it over and over, nothing to see here, move along please!!!!

Peaseblossom22 · 17/12/2019 18:08

I didn’t see that at all and those fireside genders which they were sitting on are very uncomfortable. Talk about reading something into nothing

DoTheHop · 17/12/2019 18:09

Some of us can read body language better I guess.

IcedPurple · 17/12/2019 18:13

Odd that the footage has been removed by some sources though.

Nothing odd about removing material in breach of copyright.

The TV special - including the Mysterious Shoulder Tap of Doom - is still available in full on IPlayer.

Peaseblossom22 · 17/12/2019 18:21

Some of us have over active imaginations.

DoTheHop · 17/12/2019 18:25

Pease - I watched this programme last night on player and I noticed it. I gave it a fleeting thought, but I knew exactly what the OP was about when I saw the thread. It's noticeable to some of us.

DoTheHop · 17/12/2019 18:28

I can read body language very well. Just a gift I have I guess lol. Others might not have picked up on it. It was glaringly obvious to me that she didn't want him touching her. The why is a matter for speculation.

I know people who can't read body language. They don't sense danger, animosity, jealousy, nothing. They're like happy labradors just bounding along. I'm not sure why I'm so sensitive to body language, but I can read it just as well as if someone was using words. I'm never wrong either.
