What cheap processed foods do you love?

Inspired by another thread were people were discussing their love for Vienetta, I was thinking about cheap processed foods I love.

For me it's really cheap cheese and tomato pizza. The kind that costs a quid or less from a frozen food shop. You can see where the pizza sauce has been pipped on by a machine and the cheap cheese forms a solid layer that sometimes slides off when you cut into it. The main flavour is ground pepper.

I love them and I'd choose them over so called 'better' pizzas if I had a choice.

Chicken super noodles 👍🏻

Cluckyandconfused · 15/12/2019 12:32

Whenever OH is away I treat myself to chicken nuggets, oven wedges and tonnes spaghetti hoops in tomato sauce.
I look forward to my children being old enough to ask for ‘beige’ food Grin

Cluckyandconfused · 15/12/2019 12:33

Tinned, not tonnes.
Although to be fair, I do eat a lot of them.

The value pizzas from Sainsbury’s, these were the first pizzas you could by at a supermarket

Off to Sainsbury’s later just to buy crispy cheese pancakes - this has made my day Grin

Hotdogs have no idea what part of the pig they are and don’t need to know

Wotsit and frazzles (make lovely sandwiches in cheap white bread of course)

Jam Mallows Marshmallow biscuits the biscuit always tastes stale to give them an extra delicious cheap flavour

Homepride korma curry sauce - tastes like katsu curry. I often make a curry with this I add chicken and potatoes it’s lovely

Mushy peas
Tinned maccy cheese
Tinned custard
Sandwich spread
And I used to love the ham and cheese bake in Greg's..... so, of course, they discontinued them.

Another vote for Richmond sausages, also a battered sausage from the chippie...it's utter filth and I LOVE it.

Love potato waffles, fish fingers, chicken dippers or anything else designated 'kiddie food."

Tinned peas and carrots..... memories of my childhood.

I prefer gravy made with cheap granules and made so thick you could almost stand a spoon up in it......none of this posh brown watery muck.

Smash.....with loads of salt and butter.

When DH is out and I can have whatever I want for dinner I often have a mountain of oven chips topped with beans and that ready grated cheese. Mayo on the side. Bliss.

timeforawine · 15/12/2019 16:37

Batchelors pasta sauce sachets, bombay bad boy pot noodle,

BearSoFair · 15/12/2019 16:38

Supernoodles. Those in a sandwich made with really cheap sliced white bread was my old hangover cure! Not many hangovers this days but I still love supernoodles.

TheMostHappy · 15/12/2019 16:41

McDonald’s bacon double cheeseburger and a large strawberry milkshake.

OP you really shouldn't have started this thread. I was going to try to lose some baby flab from tommorow but I'm going to have to go shopping for some of these goodies instead 😂🤦‍♀️

purplecorkheart · 15/12/2019 20:27

Premade gravy, my local butcher shop has it (and chatges pence for it.) I reheat it and drink as soup. I am a gravy addict admittedly.

Thelnebriati · 15/12/2019 20:39

I drink gravy and custard, not at the same time obvs.
I don't get the love for Richmond sausages, they are waaay more expensive than Smart Price which are just the same but have no salt in so must therefore be healthier.

northernknickers · 15/12/2019 21:29

Spam sandwich (on warburtons thick white bread) with brown sauce on it 👍. Or piccalilli. Either 🤷‍♀️

And tinned hot dogs...something just so bad about a tin of hot dogs 🌭🥰
