What cheap processed foods do you love?

Inspired by another thread were people were discussing their love for Vienetta, I was thinking about cheap processed foods I love.

For me it's really cheap cheese and tomato pizza. The kind that costs a quid or less from a frozen food shop. You can see where the pizza sauce has been pipped on by a machine and the cheap cheese forms a solid layer that sometimes slides off when you cut into it. The main flavour is ground pepper.

I love them and I'd choose them over so called 'better' pizzas if I had a choice.

Mini pork pies, sausage rolls, cocktail sausages.
If Ido the supermarket shop when hungry I always buy one of the above and scoff the whole packet as soon as I get back in my car before driving home.

This hole-y cheese stuff.

Tescos really cheap version of a curry pot noodle is fantastic!

We used to love the cheap beefburgers that they banned because of the 'horse meat' scandal. The choice of frozen beefburgers in stores has now shrunk and none of them taste as good as the old cheap ones did. I didn't mind that they might contain horse ... but then I eat chicken nuggets which contain everything!

RingsteadBay not sure Leerdammer qualifies as cheap and processed, but I love the light version.

Laughing Cow triangles, the light, blue cheese ones.
Curly fries
Fish fingers, especially in a white bread sandwich.
Greggs cheese and onion pasties, or pizza slices.
Packet golden rice.
Sweet and Sour pot noodles.
Heinz Tomato soup with white toast.

Marmitepasta · 14/12/2019 20:43

Argh I now really want tinned Mac cheese but lived in France so that's not gonna happen. Don't think my mum will agree to send it out...

@doadeer ooh yes the big bags from
sainsb for about 50p.. frazzles, salt and vinegar chipsticks, wotsits and onion rings. can't buy them cos i'll eat the whole bag in one sitting Confused

MerryDeath · 14/12/2019 20:53

chicken supernoodles. i hate to love them as they make me feel like shit afterward like it depletes my body to digest them. i can also quite happily eat a chicken and mushroom pot noodle same problem.

currently I'm enjoying the own brand cheese twists. they are very dry which pleases me
for some reason.

Packets of sliced ham - lovely for a quick warm fix on toast with beans on top, or rolled up and eaten with boiled egg and cubed apple/cheese.

Hot dogs with fried onion and ketchup.

I'm trying to revamp our eating patterns and make them healthier, but these keep creeping back in.

inwood · 14/12/2019 21:22

Plastic cheese on toast, grilled until it blisters
Dairylea on toast
Bachelor's savoury rice
Angel delight
Tinned Heinz tomato soup with Quavers on top

cherryblossomgin · 14/12/2019 21:25

My favs are Artic Roll, boxed cheesy pasta and a tin of beans and sausages. My proper 'common meal' is sausage rolls beans and asda smart price chips with ketchup. Sadly I am veggie so can't have real sausage rolls. I have it once a year.
