So...who did you vote for?

I know there are plenty of threads on voting intentions but it makes me wonder how many of those people actually end up voting. So to those who have and don’t mind sharing ..who did you vote for and why?

I haven’t actually voted yet but I will be doing so this evening after work.

Conservative. In a tight marginal, so important to kick out the SNP and avoid another bloody independence referendum, tearing the country apart.
Also could never vote Labour as (apart from their economic disaster plan for renationalisation) Corbyn has vowed to push through self ID, allowing all men free access to women’s single sex spaces without any certification, surgery or hormone treatment. A predators’ charter that throws women’s rights to the wolves.

Single2catsand1daughter · 12/12/2019 10:46

still undecided 😟

tabulahrasa · 12/12/2019 10:48

“SNP, struggled to decide between labour and SNP but that's who I decided on this morning.“

That’s who I had trouble deciding between... I went labour in the end.

stayfit · 12/12/2019 10:49

Conservative

Empty polling station this morning 8 am.

itssquidstella · 12/12/2019 10:50

Lib Dem

Normandy144 · 12/12/2019 10:50

Lib Dem. We're in a seat that can topple a Tory so the tactical advice is to vote LD. Fingers crossed!

ohmysoul · 12/12/2019 10:51

Labour. Polling Station was unusually busy for the time of day and location.

Powergower · 12/12/2019 10:51

Labour.

SheOfManyNames · 12/12/2019 10:52

Labour. Would have voted Green if they stood here. Dithered about LD, but labour have a (very) slim chance of taking the lead here.

Powergower · 12/12/2019 10:53

Voted Labour to end austerity and stop attacks on the poor. And because my despicable Tory mp voted against making upskirting illegal.

Newschapter · 12/12/2019 10:53

@ArlenesWoodBurningStove it will be Alliance here too.

I am in IPJ territory though and I can't see that changing after today's election. Sad

Spudlet · 12/12/2019 10:54

Green. I did a survey on a policy matching site and they were closest to my views. I considered voting tactically, but went with my conscience in the end.

It was busier at the Polling Station than it’s been at previous elections, but I went at a different time to normal so can’t draw any conclusions there.

Cattenberg · 12/12/2019 10:58

@Musmerian - me too!

MrsCharlesBrandon · 12/12/2019 11:03

Labour in a labour safe seat.

Polling station had a steady stream too at 9:15.

Hated this election, feeling very politically homeless at the moment. DH probably not going to vote as he feels the same. None of them really represent us.

goodwinter · 12/12/2019 11:12

Voted Labour, but probably would have gone for Green if we didn't live under FPTP. Happy though as I like my local Labour MP and I'm broadly all for what Labour stands for (I'd say I'm a democratic socialist)

Pulpfiction1 · 12/12/2019 11:16

Labour

ReginaGeorgeous · 12/12/2019 11:18

Conservative in a safe Tory seat. Polling station was pretty busy.

breastfeeding · 12/12/2019 11:19

My just turned 18 year old has been confused how to vote
She went on the isidewith quiz but it said green and she said she wants to vote for someone who actually has a chance

‘Tory Robin Hood’ made her laugh. A lot

She’s still
Thinking

notsodimwit · 12/12/2019 11:19

Labour...all my close family did also

Wineislifex · 12/12/2019 11:19

Tory because labours budget and leader are both unsustainable.
Very busy polling station here in the NE!

1066vegan · 12/12/2019 11:20

Labour. Safe Tory seat so won't make much difference.

I usually vote in the evening, but went on my way to work today. I got there just after 7. There were a few people already there and others coming in just after me. I'd expected it to be empty that early.

MadisonAvenue · 12/12/2019 11:23

I'll be voting Conservative.
Nationally I can't decide but we have a very good Conservative MP here who is very involved in the local community, plus his team are the only ones who've been arsed with coming door to door, we haven't even had a sniff of any literature through the letterbox from any of the other three candidates.

HoHoHoik · 12/12/2019 11:24

Labour.

Polling station was fairly busy by usual standards, I normal see no one other than the clerks but today there was a queue of three people ahead of me (we only have two booths!) and one person behind me then as I was leaving there were another three or four people on their way in. There was a teller outside too which I've never seen before.

amusedbush · 12/12/2019 11:27

SNP.

SgtFredColon · 12/12/2019 11:30

Haven’t been yet but SDLP. Not my normal choice but is best chance for of getting DUP out.
