So...who did you vote for?

I know there are plenty of threads on voting intentions but it makes me wonder how many of those people actually end up voting. So to those who have and don’t mind sharing ..who did you vote for and why?

I haven’t actually voted yet but I will be doing so this evening after work.

Because I'm genuinely concerned about women's rights but want the tories out.

So you voted labour - and then spoiled your paper for a bit of virtue-signalling? The only way to get the Tories out is to make sure they don’t get the seats, it’s so strange to me that you would care enough to vote against them then spoil your paper anyway.

TheDevilsPedicure · 12/12/2019 18:22

@OrangeTwirl enjoy your next visit to an NHS hospital, after Boris continues to destroy them.

TheDevilsPedicure · 12/12/2019 18:24

Wikipedia's definition suggest not spoilt. But as I said it's a safe Tory seat. Had it not been I wouldn't have risked anything that would spoil the paper.

Hohonoshow · 12/12/2019 18:25

SNP but it was tough voting for that particular candidate.

Labour. I'm disabled.

JPduck · 12/12/2019 18:28

Conservative

SuitablyDull · 12/12/2019 18:29

Local independent. Area is going to stay Tory, and usually I don't have the problem with them I do currently, but tbh the thought of any of the three main parties fills me with dread.
Would have gone Green but actually cannot stand the man.

Bjinafridge · 12/12/2019 18:31

Labour. Polling station was heaving this afternoon with young people (under 25 ish). Marginal seat, so should be interesting!

I do think the result will be a shock to alot of people. Too close to call

Pumperthepumper · 12/12/2019 18:31

But why do it at all? Why care enough to try to oust the Tories and yet risk spoiling it? Who did you hope would see it?

Bickles · 12/12/2019 18:32

LibDem

TheGirlFromStoryville · 12/12/2019 18:33

Conservative.
Safe seat but nevertheless wanted to make a show of support.

JoshLymanIsHotterThanSam · 12/12/2019 18:35

Labour, was quiet but I went at half one (I finish early on a Thursday so went on my way home).

TheDevilsPedicure · 12/12/2019 18:35

Because I have no hope of making a difference in this area anyway as I've said before. I've no hope of ousting them in this seat.

Because if the person reading the paper starts to wonder what women are talking about then even that is good.

Harpingon · 12/12/2019 18:35

Labour for the first time in my life.

OccasionallyIncomplet · 12/12/2019 18:35

Tories

Pumperthepumper · 12/12/2019 18:38

Virtue signalling then?

Letsnotargue · 12/12/2019 18:39

Labour. The local MP is good. I’m not hugely behind the party and definitely not Corbyn, but I’m even less behind Boris. Has been a Labour seat for a while so probably will remain so. We’ll soon see.

fortifiedwithtea · 12/12/2019 18:39

In a safe Tory seat. My vote won’t matter but I couldn’t bring myself to vote for Corbyn. Made a spur of the moment decision to vote Monster Raving Looney Party.

Sherrybabyy · 12/12/2019 18:39

@TheDevilsPedicure I think you’ve been a bit daft to be honest!

TheDevilsPedicure · 12/12/2019 18:39

Suggesting that protecting women's rights are important is virtue signalling?

Pumperthepumper · 12/12/2019 18:40

@TheDevilsPedicure that was out of order, I’m sorry. I’ve had a very long, stressful day and I’m being an arsehole. You are entitled to do what you like with your own vote. I apologise Flowers

TheDevilsPedicure · 12/12/2019 18:41

I don't know how many times I've said it but as I've said it's a completely safe scum seat here.

And as what I wrote doesn't make me identifiable and doesn't make my choice ambiguous then I don't believe it affects it

Polkadotties · 12/12/2019 18:42

Conservative.
I am in one of the safest Tory seats anyway.

OrangeTwirl · 12/12/2019 18:48

@OrangeTwirlenjoy your next visit to an NHS hospital, after Boris continues to destroy them

What makes you think Boris will do any worse than Labour?

Where I live we have a Labour Govt. Our GP surgeries and hospitals are dire! A Labour government is not going to rectify that - no matter how hard Corbyn shakes his magic money tree. Have you been listening to propaganda?
