I hope it’s not true with everything that’s going on with Prince Andrew. Anyone else heard this?

Idiots + social media = bullshit.

MarianaMoatedGrange · 01/12/2019 22:57

Are there no washing machines available?

I read that as being uttered in a Lady Bracknell tone! Grin

FlamingoAndJohn · 01/12/2019 22:58

First of all it’s shite.

But if it isn’t I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the news was withheld.
First of all she has a family who need to know and mourn privately.
Secondly I feel she wouldn’t want the news to go out overnight. No nice to wake up to. Much better to find out at 9am after the news channels have been briefed and can do it properly.

Nick Pettigrew just posted on Twitter: 'Imagine a penis announcing the queen is dead and it wasn't Nicholas Witchell'.

I proper belly-laughed.

margotsdevil · 01/12/2019 23:01

There's no official denial - but there is an official condolence message for the victims of London Bridge from the palace...

Daisydoola · 01/12/2019 23:02

No way wills would have just arrived in Kuwait if she's dead.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 01/12/2019 23:03

Nah it's a cock and bull story.

Missp0911 · 01/12/2019 23:03

Yes, I’ve just heard this same news from a royal marine.
It apparently will be announced tomorrow.

Haworthia · 01/12/2019 23:04

Of course there isn’t an official denial. There’s no way Buck House would dignify shit like this with a response.

MarySidney · 01/12/2019 23:04

But can you imagine the maudlin, sentimental, saccharine media coverage that will saturate this country when the sad day finally happens?

I doubt it'll be as bad as when Diana died. (I turned the tv off for a week then.) Whoever is PM when it happens, I doubt he (or she) will be whipping up public hysteria by making vomit-inducing statements about 'the People's Princess'.

MarianaMoatedGrange · 01/12/2019 23:04

Not good to think of the announcement of the queen's death being mixed up with a penis and terrorism, so hope it's a false rumour for that alone!

Ginfordinner · 01/12/2019 23:04

What exactly do you hope to achieve by posting this?

Spacebowlisback · 01/12/2019 23:05

I will be so fucked off if this turns out to be the first statement and they couldn’t even get the bloody apostrophe right.

Redrosesandsunsets · 01/12/2019 23:06

Wow, you guys saying your army friends or marine friends saying it will be announced tomorrow? Is this just to add drama and rumor? I hope you are very wrong about this and just winding people up.

Defenbaker · 01/12/2019 23:06

It will be the end of an era, when she passes on, that's for sure. Maybe Charles would modernise the monarchy, to avoid calls for the UK to become republic. He could elect to remove the financial burden from the taxpayers, and instead use his own (vast) wealth to support the royal residences. Whenever it happens, I can't imagine he or any other members of her family will be celebrating her demise. Some members of the RF lack empathy at times (no guesses who I'm thinking of here), but they are still human beings and will grieve for her when she is gone. At the end of the day, losing your mother/grandmother is a big loss for most people (unless the relationship has totally broken down, which does not seem to be the case here).

SouthWestmom · 01/12/2019 23:07

@SheOfManyNames

AS is your friend here. I wondered the same Grin

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 01/12/2019 23:07

I must say I'm loving all the

"Well in my job I'd definitely have heard"

Alright.

Spacebowlisback · 01/12/2019 23:07

@TrixieFranklin Nice. My favourite post.

Abc123def · 01/12/2019 23:07

Fucking hell. Only read the first page:

London Bridge has fallen down is the code for the queen dying apparently...when LB was trending on Twitter it gave some people a fright).

Oh I bet they were glad when it turned out to be just a suicidal terrorist brandishing a knife and killing people. Phew! 🙄🙄🙄

PointlessUsername · 01/12/2019 23:08

No way is it true.

Even Ricey & Gibbo don't sound like they belive it in the messages.

MarianaMoatedGrange · 01/12/2019 23:08

What exactly do you hope to achieve by posting this? I expect OP posted to find out if anyone here had heard about it? As in the title of the post?

Abc123def · 01/12/2019 23:09

Also, she’s not dead. Just been announced on twitter at 22:55.

TroysMammy · 01/12/2019 23:10

I hope not. I'm on holiday from work next week and that means I won't get an extra day off if she has.
