I've bought one thing only, a present for a big birthday for my mum, that is genuinely half price compared to the best price for the last few months. I think a lot of the deals aren't that great though. How about you?

I bought an echo dot today, down to £22.

Bananasandchocolatecustard · 23/11/2019 19:15

I bought a kindle paperwhite and cover.

Dhalandchips · 23/11/2019 19:16

I'm hoping to get a Nintendo switch for the kids

dawnc27 · 23/11/2019 19:17

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 23/11/2019 19:17

I bought a kids kindle, a overlocker, an echo dot, some headphones for the dcs stockings.

footballmum · 23/11/2019 19:18

I’ve got my eye on an Instantpot and the Lifeforme yoga mat. Neither have shifted in price yet but I’m hoping the best deals will come on actual Black Friday 🤞

Slumberly · 23/11/2019 19:20

Absolutely not. I don't buy into any of this consumerist bollocks.

I love this time of year because I automatically delete all emails that have 'Black Friday' in the subject line or body. Makes clearing my inbox a quicker job.

Nicknacky · 23/11/2019 19:21

I bought an echo dot and a bigger Alexa. I’ve had my eye on them for a while and I’m pleased with the discount.

GeoffreyAndBungle · 23/11/2019 19:22

I got a Nintendo switch and the new Pokémon sword game in a bundle from currys for £279, v pleased with that as the switch alone is usually £279 and the sword game is £44.99.

pearpickingporky84 · 23/11/2019 21:01

DS had asked for a Lego Hogwort’s Express, is prices it at £80 and got it for £50 on Amazon!

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 23/11/2019 21:04

i need a new phone. Actually need - the battery on the old one is shagged and it doesn't last 'til lunchtime. I've been forcing it to limp on while I wait for Black Friday. The one I have my eye on is £70 off right now, but holding fire until the 29th to see if anything better comes along.

minou123 · 23/11/2019 21:05

I bought an echo dot today, down to £22.

Snap, I got one as well. But I also got the smart light bulbs that go with it.
I'm really looking forward to shouting "turn the light on". Grin

Nicknacky · 23/11/2019 21:48

minou123 I’m getting the light bulbs too, it’s for my daughters rooms. How much were yours?

macaroniandpizza · 23/11/2019 21:52

Im fancying a kindle paperwhite and a shark hoover

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 23/11/2019 22:56

Nope, I'm the total opposite of Becky Bloomwood Shopaholic and channel her sister Jess.
Do I need it? Did I want or need one before I saw it was 50% off or whatever?!
Then how is it a friggin bargain then?!

BarbedBloom · 23/11/2019 22:58

I have a list of stuff I want to get next week for christmas, but now that the sales start earlier it is difficult to know when to buy in case the price drops further

WalkAwaySugarbear · 23/11/2019 23:04

I bought 2 echo dots 2 weeks ago at £35 Angry so I've returned them today and bought 2 more at £22 Blush. Goddammit. I did nearly wait originally but I got a bit keen with my Xmas shopping.

MitziK · 23/11/2019 23:53

I'm trying to.

But they're selling utter shite at a discount, not the things I actually need, some of which I swear have actually gone up in price.

LBOCS2 · 23/11/2019 23:59

I got a dot, which I already had earmarked as one of the DC's Christmas presents.

I'm eyeing up a Hive thermostat, as we've recently had our heating system replaced and I genuinely hate our new ridiculous thermostat. I feel that Hive would solve a lot of my problems.

I have also been newly tempted by the Echo with a screen but that's definitely a want rather than a need so it's not going in the shopping trolley.

Titsywoo · 24/11/2019 00:01

I bought a hp sprocket for dd as i was planning to get her one for Xmas anyway.

Blibbyblobby · 24/11/2019 00:13

I got a Hive, been planning to get one for a while. AO are doing the heating-only version for 150 including installation!

Also found the laptop I bought 2 weeks ago reduced by £175, grrrrr

minou123 · 24/11/2019 05:54

minou123 I’m getting the light bulbs too, it’s for my daughters rooms. How much were yours?

I got 2 smart light bulbs for £16.69. One is for my living room, so when I watching the tv and it's getting dark, ivan just shout out to turn the light on! I'm really looking forward to it!Blush

I bought a new changing bag, reduced from £60 to £42. Rock and roll!

WeCameToDanceWithTheDead · 24/11/2019 08:39

I too want a couple of echo dots. I think Curry's have price matched amazon so I'll try there on Monday.
I also want the limited edition Glossybox with the Huda beauty palette. I've wanted that palette for ages so that box looks like an absolute bargain. I really hope I'm fast enough! I'm not usually.

WalkAwaySugarbear · 24/11/2019 09:32

The tablet is was going to get for myself is now £40 off in currys, so I'll be picking that up today, it includes 6m free spotify which would save me £60 as I'm getting us all family spotify for Xmas.
