I haven’t watched the interview, but heard reports of the content. I just find it unbelievable he claims he can’t remember meeting a woman he had his arm around! Despicable. Does anyone believe him?

Just wondering what she thought I might be going to say. I had no idea what you might say. I guess it's the old NAMALT thing. My DH is the sort of person who abhors people like Andrew and Boris Johnson. I can't even begin to entertain the idea that he belongs to the same grouping as them. Apologies for derailing.

AnyMinuteNow · 19/11/2019 12:50

So many paedos and abusers have dealings with people all day who are completely unaware.

The more money and power they have to blackmail, and buy in people and services, the more they get away with, but you'd think also, the more they'll be noticed but kept quiet about

Re: body language, did anyone notice the smirk?

When, Emily Maitlis asked why the Prince remembered the events of March 10th so clearly, he fixed her with a steady gaze. “Because going to Pizza Express in Woking is an unusual thing for me to do—a very unusual thing for me to do,” he explained, with a slight smirk playing over his lips. Are we meant to believe that Andrew found his presence in pizza shop so unthinkable as to be almost comical?

Personally, my guess he is going to be the fall guy for many of those in Epstein's little black book (un-retracted version is available)

Why?

Because he is unlikely to be prosecuted due to his royal status and his mother already declined an earlier request for the FBI to speak to him.

If he takes the fall, he can resign from royal duties and lead his party lifestyle supported by the wealthy friends he has protected.

Looks like a win to me!

I may be totally wrong and this blows the whole lid off elites and child abuse, but I doubt it. You only have to look what has happened to Mike Veal's (Chief Constable of Wiltshire Police) investigation into Ted Heath, the fact the report has now been buried by the Home Office and the abuse he received, prior during and subsequent to the investigation.

Of course they know/knew

AnyMinuteNow · 19/11/2019 13:08

He must have been aware of all the body language scrutineers hungry for controversial interviews such as this.

So much to see. His gaze on her was odd, as was his quick looking her up and down through the interview.

NumbersStation · 19/11/2019 13:24

I feel that he is going to be the fall guy too - although I doubt he’ll be called to task.

I wonder if that interview was a big klaxon to the big boys, telling them to batten down the hatches.

I see no other reason for doing that interview which must be the most I’ll advised thing ever.

NumbersStation · 19/11/2019 13:24

Ill. Not I’ll.

LoyaltyBonus · 19/11/2019 13:29

TBF I think PA's presence in Pizza Express so unthinkable as to be comical. I'm not sure it explains his certainty on the date though. I have think I remember doing because they were unusual for me, I still couldn't tell you the date from years back (although presumably records are kept of the Royal family's movements?)

NumbersStation · 19/11/2019 13:34

The only things I can tell you where I was on a certain date?

Grandma’s house when Elvis died. (When her evening paper came in)

In bed at home (usual difficulty sleeping) when Lady Di died.

I very rarely go to PizzaExpress. I know I’ve been but I’d be hard pressed to tell you the year, let alone the date.

..and/or a point of reference when/if the FBI come knocking 'You can see my official statement on the BBC' all of which is non-committal

Passthecherrycoke · 19/11/2019 13:38

I’m actually really confused as to your point rrg1. No one is doubting royal vetting processes. Just saying unless a paedophilie is known, you can’t identify them. So jimmy saville? Fair to say there were enough rumours and enough knowledge for them to have been advised to stay away (but they didn’t) Roy in the palace postroom who has never been caught or suspected? Unlikely to raise any suspicions

Royal Protection Officers will have logs, time sheets and expenses claim to confirm whereabouts.

However, his alibi does not relate to night time, as Tramp does not open until 10pm!

NumbersStation · 19/11/2019 13:49

The biggest thing for me was when he was asked by EM if he was saying the lass had lied. And he wouldn’t commit.

As someone who has been falsely accused of something by a vindictive colleague, I screamed it from the rooftops that he was lying. I told anyone who listened he was lying. And I proved the sorry excuse for a human was lying.

‘Growing a thick skin and getting on with it’ was not an option. Proving my innocence was a must for me.

In his position, I would be talking to the authorities if I was innocent.

SlightlyBonkersQFA · 19/11/2019 13:51

Yes, if i were falsely accused i wouldnt hold back!!
She is not lying. It is so clear.

Dowser · 19/11/2019 13:55

David Icke was shouting from the rooftops about savile 30 odd years ago.

NumbersStation · 19/11/2019 14:00

He did indeed. And the powers blithely dismissed it.

Sometimes you can give the powers all the information in the world and it counts for nowt until they are forced to act.

LoyaltyBonus · 19/11/2019 14:01

Yes Dowser, lately I've found myself wondering if his knowledge of just how broken and corrupt everything is and being so powerless despite his attempts is what made him lose his mind.

DerbyshireGirly · 19/11/2019 14:06

I don't know if there's been any petitions linked (I know there was some talk of it earlier in the thread), but I've found this one which is very very very slowly gaining a bit of momentum over the last couple of days. Still low numbers but everything has to start somewhere.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 19/11/2019 14:08

I'm not convinced he knew the age or circumstances of the girls. I doubt he gave a second's thought to it. Guilty or not, it has really thrown a spotlight on how young women are commoditised by powerful people.

LoyaltyBonus · 19/11/2019 14:13

Have I missed something, are there actual child sex abuse allegations against Andrew? Associating with a known paedophile and the woman in the photo alleging sex against her will, plenty bad enough, but she wasn't underage?

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/11/2019 14:18

I think whoever set up that petition needs to change the title lest it be taken down by Change.

It is the duty, job, responsibility...of the security services to know. With a paedophile there is always someone else who know, if only the child(ren) involved. Before any royal involvement with the hoi polloi security services can check your last meal, your sexual partners, political leanings etc. if they so wish.
As a previous poster mentions earlier many, many people had been shouting about Savile for decades, yet he was allowed into close royal circles. Why?

DerbyshireGirly · 19/11/2019 14:38

@QueenOfTheAndals was just something I found, maybe a more appropriate one could be set up? I'm not one for social media so haven't got a big audience to share any petitions etc with but still want to do something, however small.
