I haven’t watched the interview, but heard reports of the content. I just find it unbelievable he claims he can’t remember meeting a woman he had his arm around! Despicable. Does anyone believe him?

He says he stayed in convicted pedophile epsteins apartment in New York as it was a convenient place to stay. As if a multi millionaire couldn't find a hotel room in New York City.
And he can't remember meeting Roberts?

Utter BS

ssd · 16/11/2019 09:13

And MM defo has been thrown under the bus to take the spotlight off Andrew.

Totally disgusting

holidays987 · 16/11/2019 09:14

Just watched the interview. He comes across (to me) as sleazy and a liar. He seems to take the questions and situation to be lighthearted? For goodness sake.

Was he known for having many flings and affairs?

clip from twitter
Andrew says he stayed at Epstein’s house because it was the honourable thing to do.....
I hope Emily Maitlis grills him in the full interview as to what that means.
Sadly she appears to be reading questions from cards which even if claimed have not been vetted by BP have as sure as hell been checked by the BBC’s lawyers.
If he’d been interviewed by a Krishnan GM of channel4 news, I’d be more inclined to believe it was no holds barred.
This is a fluff piece which is likely to pose more questions than it answers.

And to a Virginia Roberts. #Ibelieveyou
The fact that PA says he doesn’t recognise her from the photograph, could have held water, if that was it, but he had sex with her 3 times
The worrying thing is, as pp said, there have probably been dozens of girls he has abused, hence him not remembering individuals.

SadAngry

holidays987 · 16/11/2019 09:16

Also ... "too honourable" ..ok mate.

Bluntness100 · 16/11/2019 09:17

There is also another paedophile, an American one, a child pornographer, where the news is going to seemingly break that he was close friends with him also. Being friends with one paedo is hard to explain, two is nigh on impossible.

The oddest thing I recall about Andrew, it was reported in all the press, is he was driving home one night, his estate has two gates, about a mile apart, ie you have to do a detour about a mile or something to get to the second one, and he went to the first, it was locked, so instead of driving round to the next one, he drove his Range Rover through them, severely damaging both his car and the gates.

I can't get my head round the sort of person who would do that.

I really find it hard to care, frankly. Not sure why it's anyone's business.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 16/11/2019 09:22

Thé gâte thing sums him up.
One of the estate employees calling him Toad of Toad Hall sums him.

I guess the only good thing is that this interview will go round the world and hopefully he will become persona non grata everywhere.
Own goal.

awaynboilyurheid · 16/11/2019 09:23

No definitely don’t believe him, and all this nonsensical it’s not his fingers round her waist the pictures have been doctored absoloutely rubbish, he must really believe the peasants are stupid, arrogance of the man.

JPharm · 16/11/2019 09:24

However Virginia Guiffre was 17 when she claims PA slept with her in Belgravia which whilst young is over the age of consent in the uk.

If she was trafficked then the sex wasn’t consensual regardless of age.

merrymouse · 16/11/2019 09:24

It is our business because he carries out official duties on behalf of the Queen.

You don't care about someone potentially abusing under age girls? Seriously? And even worse, then using his position to avoid investigation/prosecution?

Why are police not pursuing his links to this man, and repeated visits and stayovers with him.

From the documentary of his links to Epstein that I watched andy was walking about half dressed (bottom half not, only pants on)

Listening to his words, he's lying. He makes no sense. I hope the french lynch him. We've no right to protect from legitimate prosecution for offences. I guess they believe they are more equal than others.

Buyitinbamboo · 16/11/2019 09:28

Let's say (in the unlikely event) that he genuinley doesn't remember her and nothing ever happened with her or anyone Epstein introduced him to. The fact that he was still friends with him and stayed with him tells me enough to draw my own conclusion of him.

DriftingLeaves · 16/11/2019 09:28

Not really, I am not in possession of any of the facts and neither are you. Only 2 people know the truth. One is in trouble for perjury I heard on the radio this morning.

It depends who you believe. I dislike witch hunts, whoever people are after. Not a fan of the royal family but even less of a fan of the tabloid press.

Frenchw1fe · 16/11/2019 09:28

And apparently he’s the Queen’s favourite.
When Fergie was interviewed not long after she split with PA she was asked what advice she would give to someone getting married.
She said ‘know your man.’
I often wondered what she meant and thought perhaps PA was gay.
But maybe it was these creepy friendships she was referring to.
She’s seems fine with him now though, obviously pays to keep your mouth shut.

Mrscaindingle · 16/11/2019 09:31

Because at best, he is guilty of sleazy, immoral behaviour whilst representing the Queen at tax payers expense. At worst he is guilty of sleazy, immoral, illegal behaviour and thinks he can get away with it by hiding behind mummy.

TheOliphantintheRoom · 16/11/2019 09:31

Fergie is an idiot who comes out with tripe and always has done. See her instagram post about honourable Andrew.

CathyorClaire · 16/11/2019 09:31

I have seen extracts from the interview.

He looks shifty as fuck like a rabbit caught in the headlights. I think it's a damage limitation/PR exercise he hopes will get the plebs off his back.

AnyMinuteNow · 16/11/2019 09:35

Its everybody's responsibility to care for victims like this and to call it out as a society.

We do know, because hes spoken and admitted to maintaining close relationships with a convicted criminal.

His words are clear in their obfuscation, their lack of clarity.

merrymouse · 16/11/2019 09:39

I don't believe he doesn't remember Virginia.

Agree.

However, even with the best possible spin, if he is believed he is claiming that he knew about Epstein's reputation, but found it completely unremarkable when he found girls of a comparable age with his daughters at Epstein's house.

Yet the general public are supposed to see Andrew as somebody who is worthy of honour? Who can represent the Queen and therefore the state?

At the very least he should retire from public life immediately.

LarkDescending · 16/11/2019 09:39

“My judgment may have been clouded by my tendency to be too honourable.”

Ugh.

merrymouse · 16/11/2019 09:46

It depends who you believe. I dislike witch hunts, whoever people are after.

The Queen represents the United Kingdom. She pays Andrew to carry out royal duties on her behalf. You might not think there is evidence to prosecute him, but at the very least and based on what he has admitted, somebody with such poor judgement should not be representing a country of 66 million people.

OmniversalsTapdancingTadpole · 16/11/2019 09:47

I have zero respect for the royal family, they cover up for pedophiles and those involved in the flesh trade.

No one should be above accountability
