I haven’t watched the interview, but heard reports of the content. I just find it unbelievable he claims he can’t remember meeting a woman he had his arm around! Despicable. Does anyone believe him?

Pizza place should be easy enough to prove from the notebooks of the police guarding him and his diary

Exactly. So why is he refusing to let the fbi validate it? That's what you've got to ask yourself. It it's true and easily proven why is he doing everything in his power to avoid questioning and validation. By the authorities.

In my experience there can be only one reason, it's not true

horse4course · 17/11/2019 08:01

@Bluntness100 I think he can claim diplomatic immunity and thus cannot be questioned by police

Tho this interview arguably defeats the diplomatic immunity and makes him a private individual therefore open to questioning

There's coverage in the guardian from a legal expert

The question is not how can he avoid it, that's obvious.

The question is why is he avoiding it. Why is he making sure he cannot be interviewed and his staff cannot be interviewed by any authorities.

If he is being honest, it would close this down.

There is only one reason he would wish to avoid it. And it's not diplomatic immunity, I understand the British government have blocked it on request of the queen.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 17/11/2019 08:05

Above the law, apparently. We pay for them, but they can do what they want.

He was confused, arrogant, bewildered by the fuss but not necessarily lying.

It's difficult to believe he wasn't lying because some of the things he said are almost impossible to believe - the claim that he met Maxwell in Spring 2019 but didn't talk about Epstein, his explanation of why he visited Epstein in 2010 (Particularly bearing in mind that Epstein was somehow involved in the Duchess of York's bankruptcy proceedings in late 2010/early 2011).

It's also very unclear why he is apparently still friends with Maxwell who is accused of being Epstein's pimp.

TheGirlFromStoryville · 17/11/2019 08:11

Surely Brenda is equally complicit in trying to cover this up, no?
RF were also very chummy with JS. Maybe they accept this sort of behaviour, aren't morals just for the little people?

He needs to be questioned under oath by US law enforcement. I doubt it will ever happen.

EleanorReally · 17/11/2019 08:15

is maxwell out at sea, like her father?

BumHairDontCare · 17/11/2019 08:18

I understand the British government have blocked it on request of the queen.

This is just another reason the monarchy needs to go.
People have this misty eyed love for the queen, how seriously she takes her duty to the country above all else.
It's a lie, they are a rich privileged family looking out their own interests and this shows it in the most sickening inexcusable way. There should be protests Angry

Inkanta · 17/11/2019 08:23

2. Is he an arrogant, vile, misogynist, who was quite happy to be friends with a convicted sex offender?

Yes to that I think.

sashh · 17/11/2019 08:25

I’m certainly not a fan of Prince Andrew and I think he is a creep for mixing with Epstein. However Virginia Guiffre was 17 when she claims PA slept with her in Belgravia which whilst young is over the age of consent in the uk. So yes still creepy but is it illegal?Genuinely want to know.

Having sex with a child who has been trafficked from another country? A child sho is not in a position to give consent. Yep that's illegal, it's called rape.

Also I do not believe he is or was unable to sweat, he's be falling over with heat stroke every 5 mins.

And his body language, his head shaking all the time as if he doesn't believe himself.

merrymouse · 17/11/2019 08:30

Those basic facts speaks very loudly. An innocent man, with alibis, would clear his name immediately.

And surely somebody who is always surrounded by security and staff always has an alibi?

beanaseireann · 17/11/2019 08:31

Why did Emiky Maitlis not ask Prince Andrew about the supposed financial links ( and their timing ) between him, Sarah Ferguson and Jeffrey Epstein ?

MakeMineALargeProsecco · 17/11/2019 08:32

There's some good articles on the BBC website about it; apparently his PR resigned 2 weeks ago when PA decided to do this interview after advising him not to.

And allegedly Buckingham Palace advises him not to do the interviews.

I cannot fathom why he's done this.

MyEnormousTurnip · 17/11/2019 08:33

Those pizza express reviews though Grin

I don't do public displays of affection

Prince Andrew
longwayoff · 17/11/2019 08:40

The RF are famously tight-fisted and happy to be befriended by people who will pay for their 'friendship' and underwrite their expenses. As Fergie has learned. Always pleading poverty and looking for a handout. Epstein gave her £25k. Ghislaine was her horrible, bullying, fraudster father 's 'favourite' child. Without money of their own, they stay close to a source. These are people who believe rules of behaviour are for us, not for them. And, for the most part, they are. Which is why Prince Andrew thinks a few words from him, to us plebs, will sort everything out. I have sympathy with Madame LaFarge.

Yes. Something needs to change.

beanaseireann · 17/11/2019 08:50

Who will be accompanying the Queen to church today ?

merrymouse · 17/11/2019 08:52

Are those pictures of public displays of affection real? They seemed to appear very quickly and I can't remember seeing any of them before.

derxa · 17/11/2019 08:58

TrixieFranklin · 17/11/2019 09:01

The photos with the blonde have been around since 2007 and again in 2015, she's fashion designer Chris Von Aspen

Inkanta · 17/11/2019 09:04

Think Merrymouse was being tongue in cheek Trixie. Wink

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/11/2019 09:06

Re Pizza Hut, he says he took Beatrice to a party there. Surely the parents of the birthday girl or boy would remember if royalty showed up at their child's party?
