Hard hat donned. Shoulders broadened. Ready for MN honest opinion.
I've seen enough Facebook tat threads, I do not want my stuff featured on them.
I've been learning dot art and wondered if my bits are good enough to sell. I'm being really brave and posting here to get a feel for if they are shite or not.
Be honest, I can take it (I have wine in the fridge)

I like them, especially the trees. I do not think they are shite at all!

HeatedDryer · 03/11/2019 18:31

The dishes are 10 cm diameter and the trees are 6cm/3cm.

Pretty. I like them all, yes I would buy them.

confusedandemployed · 03/11/2019 18:32

If the price was right of course....

TheReluctantCountess · 03/11/2019 18:33

I like them. The trees are cool and kind of retro is design.
I’d be likely to buy the bowl with a letter on as a gift for a friend, and fill it with stuff.

Majorcollywobble · 03/11/2019 18:34

Like them ! Original too .

Pindlesandneedles · 03/11/2019 18:35

I live them, especially the trees

dancemom · 03/11/2019 18:35

Trees are cute. The dishes id avoid as I would think the pattern likely to come off in the dishwasher or glitter to end up in the food.

Pindlesandneedles · 03/11/2019 18:35

*love

Velveteenfruitbowl · 03/11/2019 18:36

No. It looks like you’ve dotted the outlines iyswim? I’m neither here nor there on dot art when it’s done properly, it definitely has its place in home decor and stationary bits etc.

AlunWynsKnee · 03/11/2019 18:36

I don't think you will end up on the tat threads :)
I like the trees and the Xmas bowls.

themental · 03/11/2019 18:36

I mean I do like them... but then again the bowls you're getting from poundland and the like are also quite nice these days. And if you're paying yourself a proper wage then I can already tell you're not selling them for poundland prices.

They're not on the same level as a lot of the stuff on the tat threads... but they are still tat. By tat I mean stuff that doesn't have a purpose and just isn't needed, nor is it art. If I got one from my child who'd made it I'd be over the moon, if I got one as a gift I'd be Hmm

I'm sorry! Sad

fikel · 03/11/2019 18:36

Think the trees are lovely

MarshallPNutt · 03/11/2019 18:36

Yeah, I like them.

I might buy them if I happened to see them on the run up to Christmas and they fitted that year's 'theme'.

I can certainly see people buying them more generally.

hellhasahancart · 03/11/2019 18:38

Honestly I think they are lovely and I would definitely buy them especially the Christmas themed bowls. They are the sort of items that go down really well at craft fairs near Christmas. Definitely not tat.

Justabadwife · 03/11/2019 18:38

They are really nice.
I would buy them if I knew the pattern wouldn't wash off.
My friend bought dd a decorated xmas plate. But after it had been at the back of the cupboard for a year it looked like it could do with a wipe over (I was told it was washable) and all the picture came off. Dd was gutted 😬

viccat · 03/11/2019 18:40

They look nice. Personally I wouldn't just because I don't really buy any home decor unless it's something really special (I have too much stuff already). But I can see them being popular at a local craft market or similar. There's a lady at our local community market who sells wooden shapes she's painted, and pebble art, and always seems to sell lots.

mummyof2darlings · 03/11/2019 18:41

I love the trees I don't like the plates :) xx

SpiderCharlotte · 03/11/2019 18:41

but they are still tat

Absolutely no need @themental. Surely you are able to get your point across without saying that they're still tat. There are hundreds of items we all have in our house will little 'purpose' that one wouldn't describe as tat.

OP, I like the Christmas trees in particular, they're really pretty.

VaguelySkeletal · 03/11/2019 18:42

I think they're lovely. The trees are my favourites. The bowls with letters look a little amateurish, though, because it looks like you've done an outline of a letter using dots, then dotted outwards. The outline is too solid, and not in keeping with the dot art style. I think it needs to look like the letters are an absence of dots IYSWIM.

Disfordarkchocolate · 03/11/2019 18:42

I like the trees, especially the multicoloured one as it reminds me of childhood Christmas trees. I'd only buy the bowls if they were dishwasher proof.

iklboo · 03/11/2019 18:42

Definitely the trees if the price was right. Really quirky and pretty.

Cherry321 · 03/11/2019 18:43

Love and would buy the trees Star

Disfordarkchocolate · 03/11/2019 18:43

PS for me I think the pictures on the plates need to smaller.

InsertFunnyUsername · 03/11/2019 18:44

Ohhh I like the trees!
