I can't remember mine

Oops......

I did get two lately.

1. From SIL - you are the most caring and generous person I know.

1. From DH - he had been staring at me.....I say, 'What?'. He says....' Im just thinking how pretty you are.'

Was he hell!! He was working out how to tell me hes off to late night footie game in not too distant future!

Out of the blue my 24 year old son told me that he likes my clothing style .

I've lost about half a lbs (stones to go) told me i look great, he can see the weight off me 😏, also tells people how I dont see bad in anyone. And tells me regularly I'm a lovely person.

DH, that is.

A work colleague who I've given a listening ear and career guidance to down the years has recently won an award for a charitable endeavour linked to her professional life. She made a LinkedIn post saying I'd made a difference to her life and been her inspiration. I had a little weep, it was lovely of her

Yesterday... my lawyer said.. you look great.. ! This was post seperation from dh. No wonder !

Hundredmiles, I've had similar compliments lately after being invisible for a few years. Maybe it is a confidence with age thing. I am feeling really good about myself and I just turned 50. I suddenly feel like I am in control of and happy with my looks, fitness and am feeling more confident.

Well as you asked your really pretty ( I don't see this) and the same day I hope I look as good as you when I'm as old as you !

My colleague said my coat looked nice and was a good colour for me

That I always have had beautiful glowing skin. I can't see it, I think it's my rosy cheeks (which I hate) that contribute, plus I've inherited good skin genes.

Just before Xmas last year, teaching maths to 17 year olds, "I understand that now, I never understood it at school".

The best feeling ever.

Not an earned compliment because it's just genes but a work colleague asked when my 40th is. I'm 48.

Talking of unearned compliments.. vet said....'oh, hes a handsome boy'.
To my cat, not DH!

And I very proudly said, ' Ýes, he is, and you haven't even seen his brother!'.

The shame!!!

My 6 year old told me he thinks I'm pretty. I'm not, but it meant a lot to me.

After two relentless shifts at work, one of my patients said that I was the best nurse they'd ever had . I don't get many compliments, so that was much appreciated.

You're ageing very well.

A colleague said I had a talent which was lovely to hear

My client said my report was “perfect”

And someone I hosted at the weekend for the first time said my house was gorgeous. Stoked.
