Why are you up early this morning?

I've been up since 4.30 as my 1 yearold wanted a bottle and then vomited all over his cot (we are trying him on our milk). Partner cleaned it up whilst I cleaned son up and partner has now gone back to sleep as he got up with son yesterday. Son is now happily playing with his toys. We usually don't get up until 5.30/6.

Why are you up this morning?

I actually had a lie in! I was up for a couple of hours midnight - 2am and then I slept until 6.30.

So sorry the cafe opened late, coffee/tea and toast allround? I do have some rather nice hot chocolate and it is even better with a tot of vanilla vodka.

Aragog · 26/10/2019 07:36

Was up at 4:30 to get ready to go to the airport. Here now and waiting for our flight. Off to Sorrento for a few days.

So, a good reason to be up awake.

Ledkr · 26/10/2019 07:37

I had a dental op yesterday under GA felt dreadful and sore so ended up coming to bed at 9 a d slept till 1.30 woke up hungry due to not eating yesterday but couldn't be arsed to get anything (soft) so have been dozing on and off eversince.
I can hear Dd awake now singing to herself so the day begins.
She has an obsession with going to Tiger today as she has been watching you tube vids so I'm sure we will be laden down with note books and pens later. 😉

Both have my kids have been up most of the night (coughs/colds so bunged up) which means so have I. I've had about 2 hours sleeps. 5 month old was babbling/giggling for ages at 5am. DP took over, she burped then fell back to sleep while I'm now up for the day. Oh well, at least I can escape early to do the food shop and might have tea/cake in the cafe!

slipperywhensparticus · 26/10/2019 07:39

I've woke up with a foul gassy stomach because I'm selling my car tomorrow and I need to buy a new one I'm used to driving a diesel and I've got to buy a petrol which I usually stall and drive badly.....I just dont do the mileage anymore I've got to do it...god my stomach! Its times like this I tire of being the only adult around

LolaSmiles · 26/10/2019 07:41

Third trimester kicking and rolling around (the baby, not me). I couldn't get back to sleep so have come to half nap on the sofa with the dogs.

BlueJava · 26/10/2019 07:42

I got up early just before 5am to do some coursework before DH and 2 DS came down. Finished and now having a nice coffee and on MN :) Happy Saturday everyone.

Ratbagcatbag · 26/10/2019 07:49

My dd age 6 always wakes around 6am anyway. I went to bed at 8:30 last night though as I've had a busy week. We've agreed it's too cold to get out of bed yet. So she's on the iPad in my bed and I'm on here. May be able to drag it out until 9am!!

FashionFoodLaughs · 26/10/2019 07:50

Bootcamp for me then off to get my flu jab

stoptouchingthat · 26/10/2019 07:52

I work shifts and my brain doesn't realise I don't need to get up at 4.30 now it's the weekend. 👀👀

TheQueef · 26/10/2019 07:54

I need to strip the bed but I can't because I've got my big arse back in it.
Supposed to be working today but I can feel an executive decision coming on....

theydontknowweknow · 26/10/2019 08:05

My DP still had his work alarm on and I couldn't get back to sleep after it went off. Also suffering with 3rd trimester insomnia so been up a lot of the night. He's now back asleep and I'm wondering how long suffocation would take.

hariboismydrug · 26/10/2019 08:09

I was up at 3.30 because the dog wanted to pee ☹️ however when he saw the torrential rain when I opened the door he suddenly decided he'd rather cross his legs and go back to bed 🤬.

LesLavandes · 26/10/2019 08:10

The howling gale whooshing round my house. I live by sea in Brighton

spinderella78 · 26/10/2019 08:11

5 year old woke me up. I'm now laying in his bed and he's dismantling Lego that it took me forever to build. It's annoying but not bad enough for me to move.

DontLettuceBrexitLettuceRomain · 26/10/2019 08:22

Because I drank too much last night and didn't sleep properly as a result. Looking forward to a cosy nap later.

Think I might bake some bread. It's that kind of day

ApricotPug · 26/10/2019 08:28

@Ithinkwerealonenowtiffany best of luck for today!

Iwouldlikesomecake · 26/10/2019 08:31

Up at 0545 because I’m on an early Eurostar to Paris for work. It’s going to be a long day and I’m already knackered but no day off for a fortnight 😴 I’m going to sleep on this train I think! And at least we get an extra hour tonight

BlobbyTheLump · 26/10/2019 08:52

I was up for the day at 4am due to pain Sad tablets kicked in and I couldn't get back to sleep, so I've done 2 loads of laundry, cleaned the bathroom, changed the bed and made pain au chocolat for breakfast.

DD didn't wake up till half 7, usually up at 6. Typical!

Bellasblankexpression · 26/10/2019 08:55

@LesLavandes despite your whirling gale, I am very very jealous. I’d love to live by the sea in Brighton!

lonelyonee · 26/10/2019 08:57

Responding extremely late to the thread, but as a few other pp's have said I was awoken early by a hungry cat.
They are in a routine where they know what time I get up for work so if I'm not up by then my youngest (who is 7 months & is still a complete pain in the arse baby!) cries until I get up & do them all breakfast.
My girls will happily wait as they're too lazy & are usually enjoying cuddles from me 🥰 but baby boy just does not shut up 😂
No lie ins for me! (Curse of being a cat mom!).
Attached a pic of said baby boy for you 🙂

Why are you up early this morning?
Comefromaway · 26/10/2019 09:01

So my train was cancelled along with all others except the slow train to Crewe! So we went to CRewe along with everyone else and have finally managed to pick up a London train.

maddiemookins16mum · 26/10/2019 09:11

I opened my front door to 5 blokes this morning, they and DP are in the lounge watching the rugby. I have made tea, coffee, bacon and egg butties and have left them to it.
They’re all off to the pub after.
They all came with flowers, wine and chocs for me, bless.
I do not expect to see DP until late.
Meanwhile I’m off to see Judy at the cinema tonight followed by a curry with my mates. Win, Win.

ClownsandCowboys · 26/10/2019 10:55

Up at 3.30am with dd. She has ASD and sleep is tricky. Tried to get her back off, but failed and then her noise woke the puppy.

Now coffee.

Ilovesweatybollocks · 26/10/2019 20:31

@ChocoholicsAsylum
I'm with you on that one. I was up at 0430 for work, left house 0515 for 0600 start of 12 hour shift. Joy. Didn't get home till 1845 and I'm knackered
