Why are you up early this morning?

I've been up since 4.30 as my 1 yearold wanted a bottle and then vomited all over his cot (we are trying him on our milk). Partner cleaned it up whilst I cleaned son up and partner has now gone back to sleep as he got up with son yesterday. Son is now happily playing with his toys. We usually don't get up until 5.30/6.

Why are you up this morning?

I'm a lark anyway, but this morning I woke at 5.30 and immediately started thinking about the rugby.
Only the warm up game today 😉 but I'll be the same tomorrow. Unfortunately I'll have another hour to wait for the main event tomorrow. Damn you GMT.

Peri-menopause is being a night waking bastard. Once I was awake I couldn't get back to sleep.

Might go out for a run when it gets lighter. The teenagers will be asleep for ages yet and DH will be out on his bike. Hmmm. A run then good coffee and a book could be nice. Fuck the laundry and the accounts.

Sirzy · 26/10/2019 06:41

Thanks bishopfrown we are waiting on more tests to decide the severity of his sleep apnea so sleep deprivation in me makes it all sound worse!

danmthatonestakentryanotheer · 26/10/2019 06:45

Been up since 4.30 as it's blowing a storm outside.

madcatladyforever · 26/10/2019 06:45

What does he have a pump for Sirzy?

Thehagonthehill · 26/10/2019 06:45

I woke a few hours ago and am here because I can't get back to sleep, unusual for me.
I will be very tired later in the day.

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 26/10/2019 06:45

Swimming lessons x3!!

Ginandgingers92 · 26/10/2019 06:47

DC decided to wake up when Daddy returned from work at 5am. Usually sleeps until 7. Daddy is now tucked up in bed and I'm downstairs, no energy, staring down the barrel of a 14 hour day with my toddler who just doesn't stop, whilst I am pregnant, tired and ill. Sorry, I'm normally a lot more positive than this, but sometimes I feel like my life is just work or being mummy and there's no me time. 😴

9Greenbottles · 26/10/2019 06:48

DP and I have colds and are keeping one another awake with our coughing fits. More sleep is unlikely ☹️

Celebelly · 26/10/2019 06:49

Baby! She usually sleeps till 7 and then DP takes her but a double whammy today where she decides to get up at 6 and he's away this weekend Hmm

Cobblersandhogwash · 26/10/2019 06:51

Hey Johnny :)

Redwinestillfine · 26/10/2019 06:55

DS got out of bed ( in the dark) and walked to my room ( also in the dark) to tell me he couldn't find his light (right next to him in bed) and was scared of the dark!

gloriousred · 26/10/2019 06:55

I think the bastard cat woke me up.

I've recently started new medication and the insomnia has kicked in from it. Sob. My sleeping has been awful lately and I do not function well on little/broken sleep.

We're (DH and 2 DCs) off to a show this morning about an hour from home and we stayed up too late watching a really shit movie that I chose based on the recent MN thread about scary movies.

I think I'll be waking everyone up sooner rather than later to drag everyone out earlier for a McDonalds breakfast Grin

ApricotPug · 26/10/2019 06:58

Struggling after a recent break up and haven’t been sleeping very well.
Trying to keep my mind occupied by MNetting!

oooohcarriewhite · 26/10/2019 06:58

We are stopping DD (5) wearing night time pull ups. We've had 4 years of chronic constipation but "fingers crossed" we seem to be coming through it.
She got up at 6am and was a little wet.
It's DH's morning to get up so I'm having a cup of tea in bed.
Not looking forward to my early wake up call tomorrow !
An extra hour they say....hollow laugh !

ChocoholicsAsylum · 26/10/2019 06:58

Going to work to start a 12h shift and cannot be arsed Sad

Surfskatefamily · 26/10/2019 06:58

I've been up since 4.30 because my 19month old is going through some sort of sleep issue and wakes up every couple of hours...I give up now 😭
Ive got two jobs on today and hes coming with me...send help

BishopFrownofStThigh · 26/10/2019 06:59

@Cobblersandhogwash yeah me too

StumpyinSomerset · 26/10/2019 07:00

I need to get the 8.29am train to work

Pippioddstocking · 26/10/2019 07:02

I got up early to go for a long run but it's dark and blowing a gale outside so I'm still in bed having " one more coffee" before I brave it.

All of those sup with little ones, I remember those days well, my DD was a terrible sleeper but now she's a teenager she's won't get out of bed so I promise you they will sleep one day, until then, big hugs . I swear I only discovered coffee when she was born .

Cocolapew · 26/10/2019 07:02

Been up since 4.45 sneezing, it's a regular occurrence lately 🤧
