Why are you up early this morning?

I've been up since 4.30 as my 1 yearold wanted a bottle and then vomited all over his cot (we are trying him on our milk). Partner cleaned it up whilst I cleaned son up and partner has now gone back to sleep as he got up with son yesterday. Son is now happily playing with his toys. We usually don't get up until 5.30/6.

Why are you up this morning?

Early waking three year old who was, helpfully, also awake at 10, 2, and 4 Shock It’s my turn so DH is still snoring away until toddler football practice later.
I’m anticipating him sleeping through the night around the time he leaves home Grin
Fortunately I got a full night’s sleep in Thursday as I was away at a conference - blissful (four poster) bed to myself!

Ithinkwerealonenowtiffany · 26/10/2019 07:03

IM RUNNING A MARATHON TODAY😀😀😀😀

Mummyoflittledragon · 26/10/2019 07:03

I've just discovered two lumps asleep in the living room (a DC and friend) so I will be forced to get the Hoover out early Sad I've left the door open so the cats can have their pound of flesh first.
I thought I could smell kebab.

M0nsterpumpk1n · 26/10/2019 07:05

Sore throat and it’s very windy/wet. My ds has been out there doing DofE all night.Keep hoping he’s ok and keeping dry.

FairyBatman · 26/10/2019 07:07

I’ve been up since 4 because of snorasaurus. It was either come down and make coffee or put a pillow over his snorey fucking face.

Sorry I have snoring rage today!

Gingaaarghpussy · 26/10/2019 07:10

Zoflorabore · 26/10/2019 07:11

I am up at stupid o’clock every day as I have severe insomnia, today I woke at 2.30.

Also my 16yr old ds is travelling to Brighton from Liverpool to watch Everton V Brighton and his coach leaves at 7.30 so I had to get him up at 5.30 so he could have a shower/shave and spend half an hour on his bloody hair ( despite the rain )

I’m going for a nap soon Smile

Millie2013 · 26/10/2019 07:11

Horses, I need to sort out the water in their winter paddock before moving them in there. Then it’s mucking out every morning until spring
Cup of tea first though...

Balloondog · 26/10/2019 07:11

@Ithinkwerealonenowtiffany Good luck!! Have a great day!

I was up early and I blame DH. I have been suffering from jet lag all week after a work trip and it's been a struggle to get up when the alarm went off at 6am each morning (note because of DH's need to get up for work, I work from home and could quite easily get up at 7:50am and be at my desk on time!). This morning, no alarm and of course my stupid body clock finally kicked in and woke me at 5:59am 😡 DH is still snoring blissfully and I'm wide awake and can't get back to sleep!

BookWitch · 26/10/2019 07:13

I'm starting work at 7am - I teach English online so at least I don't have to leave the house. Even the dog had to be prodded out into the garden for her wee this morning. It's grim out there

OohEekAah · 26/10/2019 07:13

It's my day off but I set my alarm early so I could do some House Work and have a Hot cup of Coffee before my Toddler wakes up!

swampytiggaa · 26/10/2019 07:13

Daughter is off to Dartmoor for a 2 day expedition with scouts. I’m sorting her lunch etc she is sorting herself I hope!

Sirzy · 26/10/2019 07:15

Bonus of being up so early, can watch rugby league when it starts and then flick over the the Union!

PocoyoandEllie · 26/10/2019 07:26

We are away for the weekend, 4 year old was up until 10pm and then awake at 6 Haloween Sad going to be a long old day when the grumpiness kicks in (probably after lunch)

ohmysoul · 26/10/2019 07:28

DD has a cough and has been coughing loudly since 4. It somehow didn't wake her up until 7 but I've definitely been awake since 4.

Namechangenecessity · 26/10/2019 07:29

Gym! I always work out first thing Sat am and then pick up my online shop, starts my day well 😀

bigbluebus · 26/10/2019 07:29

Because when i thought I'd changed my alarm clock from 6.45 to 7.00 last night, I'd actually changed the minutes and not the hour so it went off at 6.00am 😶. DH asked me what time it was and I said 7am - with the lights off. He dutifully leapt out of bed and came down to make coffee. He gave me a look when he came back upstairs by which time i'd put BBC breakfast on and realised my mistake! Lucky we've got an extra hour in bed tonight!

HopefulHun · 26/10/2019 07:30

Excitement.

This weekend my DP has planned a birthday treat in London (don't know what it is yet!)
And we have our first ever scan on Monday 😁

Hope everyone enjoys their day even with the early starts x
