Just intrigued to know if people are as weird as me.. I have ocd so this is probably why. I have. Thing about socks, every time i go somewhere and I see socks I like I buy them. I have a carrier bag of new socks so if one pair gets a whole I replace it with a new pair.
Also have the same thing with shower gels. Every time I see a new shower gel my brain is like buy it buy it 😂 I currently have 15 and non of them are the same.
So what’s your thing 😊

Lists, counting things, timing things, planning things. Properly does my head in!!

Soola · 01/10/2019 22:05

Lipsticks. Make up.

Stompythedinosaur · 01/10/2019 23:35

Replica viking artefacts.

DramaAlpaca · 01/10/2019 23:40

Earrings. I love them & have so many pairs I've lost count.

Pipandmum · 01/10/2019 23:41

My mother’s thing was sheets. She moved to the US as an adult and was bowled over by the variety of prints available and had a huge amount of sets!
I didn’t realise it but have been decluttering recently and have an awful lot of candles and candle holders. But really for me it’s Christmas stuff - I have two trees every year and enough decs left over for a third. I have dozens of rolls of Christmas wrapping paper but still can’t resist buying more if I like the pattern. I make my own decorations too and it is getting ridiculous!

SunflowerSuit · 01/10/2019 23:46

It was cups, then I stopped myself because there is usually only one person in my house drinking tea and that’s me.

And duvet covers, but again I stopped myself.

Now I think it is buying children’s books from charity shops. And guitars,

PersonaNonGarter · 01/10/2019 23:48

Cookery books - I have got better but I particularly like old cookery books where people have written notes in the margin.

I do like mugs too.

100PercentThatBitch · 01/10/2019 23:49

Books

Pyjamas

Xraydog · 01/10/2019 23:50

I have had to stop myself from buying wine glasses in charity shops. For ages I was trawling charity shops for those glasses with coloured stems. I eventually realised I had nearly 40 of them. Still I had to stop myself yesterday as I saw some for sale in a charity shop window.

FavouriteSong · 01/10/2019 23:53

Books, even though I have a kindle and read mostly on that. I can't resist a charity shop sign saying 4 books for £1 - I have a 'to be read' bookcase in the spare bedroom, and and'I might read it again' bookcase at the top of the stairs, and 'books I am currently reading' bookcase in the sitting room.

Justmuddlingalong · 01/10/2019 23:54

Any kind of footwear. I always wanted a pair of those plastic, clip cloppy princess shoes as a child. But DM denied me my 6 year old hearts desire. I blame her. 👠👟👢👡

Superzowie · 01/10/2019 23:58

Guitars.

Basses, electric, classical, electro-acoustic... guitars massively outnumber people in my house.

gostiwooz · 02/10/2019 00:00

Replica viking artefacts

Well I wasn't expecting that.

I am, however, currently buying every tiny plastic toy dinosaur I find at car boots and jumble sales, as long as they look realistic that is. Well, as realistic as a plastic dinosaur can ever get Grin

SherbetSaucer · 02/10/2019 00:03

Going out of my way to avoid every single child who inhabits the earth, that and buying whimsical socks.

Butterflycookie · 02/10/2019 00:08

Tkmaxx in general Blush

Threehoursfromhome · 02/10/2019 00:09

Education. I'm writing up my PhD, but have just found myself browsing university courses in an completely different area, thinking about a possible BA.

I can't do it. I will already have three degrees and various other professional qualifications. I've got to find a job and be a responsible member of society, but the thought of never studying again makes me feel bereft. Given the opportunity, I will complete at least one more degree before I die, perhaps when I retire.

Windydaysuponus · 02/10/2019 00:16

Dc.
I have many!!

MashedSpud · 02/10/2019 00:19

Yarn. I learnt how to crochet earlier on in the year and love buying it.

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 02/10/2019 00:21

Stationery is my weakness.
Used to have a thing for duvet covers but have stopped now.
Free bags with magazines back in the day.
In terms of stanning, Strictly Glitterball Blush

bobbikato · 02/10/2019 00:37

Ditto coffee mugs - especially the naff ones that charity shops do not bother selling ie the ones with logos for some Malvern Solicters or AADF PC Solutions etc

HPLikecraft · 02/10/2019 00:45

High fives MashedSpud!

I'm another yarnaholic. I buy loads. I have a room full of yarn, but still buy more. I have 4 half knitted jumpers on the go, and am 3 shepherds, a cow, Joseph and Gabriel short of a complete "knitivity" at the moment, but keep starting new projects!

Also can't resist duvet sets, sheets, socks and funky reading glasses.

managedmis · 02/10/2019 00:46

Clothes in the sale. I'm a total sucker. Cannot resist

Mrsmummy90 · 02/10/2019 00:55

Storage (make up storage boxes, hair styling unit, shoe storage etc) and atm I can't stop buying shoes for my 20mo dd.

Mrsmummy90 · 02/10/2019 00:55

Also PJ's

MashedSpud · 02/10/2019 02:11

@HPLikecraft High five!

I have all six drawers of an Ikea dresser stuffed with yarn and finding new places to put it 😂

I’m currently crocheting a dick and balls. 🎉
