Just intrigued to know if people are as weird as me.. I have ocd so this is probably why. I have. Thing about socks, every time i go somewhere and I see socks I like I buy them. I have a carrier bag of new socks so if one pair gets a whole I replace it with a new pair.
Also have the same thing with shower gels. Every time I see a new shower gel my brain is like buy it buy it 😂 I currently have 15 and non of them are the same.
So what’s your thing 😊

Recipes on the Internet. I have several Pinterest boards full of them and can spend hours researching the perfect recipe for an occasion, or I’ll save something I see in passing that I fancy. I’ve cooked a lot of them but there are loads that I probably never will due to fussy dh and dc.

Trial sized l’occitane toiletries is my latest thing Confused. I have stopped due to plastic pollution guilt now though.

OutOntheTilez · 02/10/2019 04:21

Halloween decorations – disembodied hands, plastic skulls, themed votive candle holders.

Patterned tank tops.

Zoflorabore · 02/10/2019 05:08

Mine are a bit random- storage baskets/boxes, stationery just because, mugs but only one in each design, cleaning products and my biggest weakness- knickers! nothing fancy just everyday ones.

I didn’t realise how bad I was until I read this thread.

smugmug · 02/10/2019 05:29

Cookery books - love them !

mrsjg · 02/10/2019 08:12

@Justmuddlingalong

I always wanted a pair of those shoes but my mum would never buy me them. I think that's the reason why I've never been able to walk in heels, never had the proper training Grin

Coniferhedge · 02/10/2019 08:21

Coats and jackets. Also cross stitch patterns. Even if I lived to 200 years old I don’t think I’d have time to complete them all!

TottieandMarchpane · 02/10/2019 08:23

Books, DVDs, cleansing balms, tablecloths.

Far too many of all the above sitting around waiting for to catch up Blush

Makeup
Perfume
Dresses

Old cutlery from charity shops. Bone handled knives are a weakness and nice old heavy serving spoons. I can barely close my kitchen cutlery drawer.

Azzizam · 02/10/2019 08:43

Sistema. Plastic storage boxes, lunch boxes, that kind of thing. My ex used to say " more plastic?", as I'd be hovering over those three packed into one storage containers in Aldi. Grin

Marmite27 · 02/10/2019 08:54

Yes to the sistema and water bottles.

See also recipe books, yarn and chocolate.

Fabric
Christmas decorations

BarkandCheese · 02/10/2019 09:09

20th century British ceramics and kitchenware. Basically your nan’s best China and decorated Pyrex, I have to restrain myself from buying the entire bric-à-brac shelves in charity shops. I mostly concentrate on Midwinter, Denby and Pyrex but if I had space I’d buy all the China.

Pointof0return · 02/10/2019 09:46

Conkers

spiderlight · 02/10/2019 10:11

Shampoo and conditioner. I have about ten different sets on the go - always looking for the 'perfect' combination for my hair.

Also sloths. I do love sloths.

Windydaysuponus · 02/10/2019 10:18

Pointof0return - do you have spiders? They apparently hate conkers!

FaerieKiss · 02/10/2019 10:50

Ankle boots, especially suede. I must have a dozen pairs. And jumpers, so many jumpers. I just love a soft, slouchy jumper.

Pointof0return · 02/10/2019 10:51

@Windydaysuponus Don't mind spiders but now you mention it, they have disappeared since we've been bringing conkers into the house every day! Dc keep conker collections in bowls and roll them around the floor and they are under all the furniture, no doubt. Must be repelling spiders!

MustardScreams · 02/10/2019 10:55

Glassware. I have a glass for every drink you could imagine. Just this moment bought 2 beautiful burnt orange gin glasses from the local Nansa charity shop, for when I have blood organs gin, because they’ll match Hmm

MustardScreams · 02/10/2019 10:57

Blood ORANGE.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 02/10/2019 10:59

Expensive perfume

solandis · 02/10/2019 11:01

Tea. I hoard tea.

katseyes7 · 02/10/2019 11:02

Craft stuff. l have a bookcase in my living room positively bristling with balls of wool. And about 10 big storage boxes in my craft (smallest bedroom) room. And three (Bundleberry) chests full of it.
Oh, and fabric. Tons and tons of fabric. And art materials. Tons of those too. l won't live long enough to use even part of it, but l love going into my room and seeing all that wonderful stuff and the lovely colours.

WalkiesPlease · 02/10/2019 11:07

..food! I'll spend hours inventing the most delicious and extravagent recipes in my head and I usually end up buying the ingredients to make them Blush
