Questions I have about Hey Duggee

Is he a childminder? If so, I am concerned because his ratios are off, and also he is a dog.
Why are all the children animals apart from one who seems to be a lower-case 'r'?
Is Alexander Armstrong being sarcastic when he says at the end of the episode 'well that was fun, wasn't it Duggee?'
Why do I sometimes end up watching to the end of the episode even though my toddler never does? Also, where do I send off for all the badges I have thus accumulated?

I love Duggee! Although my two main questions are 1. Why can't duggee talk? And 2. Why is Henny so incredibly enormous (she even hides behind a flipping mountain in one episode and still peeks over the top!)?

If you watch Pointless there's often references to Duggee and all the other voices AA does.
My favourite moment was when there was a campaign (mostly on MN) for the Stick Song to become Xmas number one, and it was reported on Newsnight. Newsreader only just managed to keep a straight face.
