AwkwardSquad · 26/11/2019 06:40

@Bloodybridget it was! It’s supposed to be a traditional French recipe, super easy and simple. Except this is my third attempt and it still hasn’t come out quite right - there was an undercooked layer. I am determined to get it right so my next attempt will be in a bundt tin. It’s sheer stubbornness as it’s such a plain cake, you’d question whether it’s worth the effort.

I also made pistachio chocolate macaroons which always come out right and are delicious.
