If a snap election is called, who will you vote for?

This will be such a difficult election, as I reckon almost everyone will vote tactically.

I am a remainer, and was a traditional Labour voter, though that doesn’t feel like home any more.

I also voted no, but now find myself thinking independence might not be the worst option any more.

I will not vote for Johnston.
I like Jo Swinson, but her party will never be big enough to make a big difference.
Corbyn seems a principled man, but he is too far left for me and he’s not a leader - he is a divisive character.
Farage represents all I hate in politics.

I will be voting SNP,, for the first time in my life.

SNP

DrDreReturns · 03/09/2019 07:19

Lib Dem

Chocolatedeficitdisorder · 03/09/2019 07:19

SNP. Used to be undecided about independence, but now I can see it's the only way to protect Scotland from English voting choices.

I don't know.

I would normally vote labour, but I can't with JC still at the helm.

So I really don't know.

namechangedforthis19 · 03/09/2019 07:22

LibDem. Our constituency has swapped between LD and Tory over the years and our lovely LD MP lost his seat in 2015. The Tory MP is an utter tool, so anything to get him out.

leckford · 03/09/2019 07:23

Conservative, Boris seems to be determined to resolve the mess

duckling84 · 03/09/2019 07:24

Monster raving looney party.

That's my current stance on British politics. (Fwiw I'm a remainer but am happy to accept leave as that's what the country decided. I quite like BoJo as PM but after the austerity measures I just cannot vote Tory. And as much as I did like Corbyn, I hate that he can't give a straight answer so can't vote for Labour)

TheNemesisOfLame · 03/09/2019 07:25

Lib Dem. And I'm probably going to help the local candidate deliver leaflets etc if she wants.
I'd never have bothered before because 1) I'm in true blue territory and 2) I thought the adults were in charge. But Brexit, Bozo and his ilk have pushed me to it.

TamarindCove · 03/09/2019 07:25

I don’t know. I cannot vote for a Labour Party that is lead by JC.

During the American Presidential elections a lady was asked who she would vote for and she said something along the lines of “It’s like asking if you would prefer to eat a shit sandwich or a shit baguette”. That’s how I feel.

bellinisurge · 03/09/2019 07:27

Dump Corbyn, I'd vote Labour. Otherwise, Lib Dem's as least worst. Labour Leave stronghold

fedup21 · 03/09/2019 07:27

It’s a pointless vote as we’ve had the same Tory twat MP here for decades who can do no wrong, but I will vote for whoever stands the most chance of being able to topple him.

HavelockVetinari · 03/09/2019 07:28

Probably Lib Dems - there's a lot about them I dislike, especially their definition of woman, but even though I'm a lifelong Labour voter I can't do it this time with Corbyn at the helm.

Comenext · 03/09/2019 07:29

Probably Green as I don't agree with any of the major parties at all.
As adaline said above

ThePolishWombat · 03/09/2019 07:29

Like others have said, I’m leaning towards Lib Dem I think.
I’ve always voted labour, but Corbyn just fills me with a weird sense of dread Confused My dad would probably have my head if he knew I would vote anything other than Labour Confused

Rapidmama · 03/09/2019 07:30

Get rid of JC and I’ll vote labour despite all their gender theory bullshit.

I’m in true blue country here, our MP was offering a days hunting and shooting as a raffle prize at his last fundraiser 🤦‍♀️

FenellaMaxwell · 03/09/2019 07:30

Green. We live in Brighton so it’s always overwhelmingly green. Otherwise anyone who would stop Brexit.

Strawberrycreamsundae · 03/09/2019 07:30

We too have a very longstanding self serving Tory twat here.
For the first time in my life I will be spoiling my ballot paper- no party comes anywhere near inspiring me let alone gives me any confidence in their ability to run the country.

Pannalash · 03/09/2019 07:31

Conservatives

sergeilavrov · 03/09/2019 07:33

Can't stand Boris, but I'd still vote Conservative.

@Hermanhessescat - I couldn't bring myself to vote Labour after watching them for 13 years. I'm happy with a lot of the things the Tories have done (gay marriage, stabilising the economy, reducing the deficit, increased personal allowance, lower corp tax). Not everything, lots of things I disagree with, but on balance I'm satisfied. So much of politics is just about the order of your priorities, which is quite personal.

FamilyOfAliens · 03/09/2019 07:33

Wouldn't piss on JC if he was on fire so Labour out.

What a thoroughly nasty thing to say about anyone, regardless of how you view him and his politics.

Wait there, I'll find some fucks to give you.

StylishMummy · 03/09/2019 07:47

Will vote conservatives

CaptainClinker · 03/09/2019 07:51

Probably Green or Lib Dems. I would usually vote Labour but can't vote for JC

Metempsychosis · 03/09/2019 07:57

Our MP is stepping down - I’ll vote tactically for whoever will stop Johnson’s new ideologically cleansed version of the Conservatives so probably Labour in my area.

Justine Greening announces she wasn’t standing today: she may be a Tory but she seems like such a loss to politics - and a comprehensive school girl. How the hell will they have time to pick new candidates in the time available?

StarbucksSmarterSister · 03/09/2019 08:05

Tactically to get the Tory MP out. That almost certainly means Labour, much as I dislike Corbyn.
