Think I’m pregnant again! :(

I’m really panicking, I’m a single mum to 9 month old. I had unprotected sex March this year and had morning after pill. It was very complicated and confusing upsetting time for me. (Please don’t judge)

I look pregnant again, I don’t feel differently. But I’m just connecting things and having a massive panic. I’ve drank gone out and lived life. I feel so stupid I put myself into the situation but I was so lonely. I really liked the person and thought we would be more, known him years. (He isn’t father to my dd)

I’m literally scared witless. I love my dd but I do not want another child! I am only now getting my life together!

It’s probably hard for you to think logically but it’s going to be so unlikely you’re pregnant because....
1.) you took the MAP
2.) you got the implant after
3.) you have PCOS
4.) you were breastfeeding
5.) the dr couldn’t feel anything

The combination of all those factors mean it’s such a teeny tiny remote, unlikely chance of being pregnant especially the last one.

Sounds like you've just put on weight...

RedCowboyBoots · 27/08/2019 19:33

I think you need help for your drinking, OP. Maybe join a twelve step program?

thinkingcapon · 27/08/2019 19:36

Are you in labour yet?

Lunafortheloveogod · 27/08/2019 19:37

Hopefully you’ve taken a test by now, but if you’re on the implant it could be a side effect, I looked like I had a small bump the whole time I had my second one in (can’t remember the brand but it was different from 1st n 3rd).

Realistically though no one on here could’ve told you if you were or weren’t and if the gp didn’t take blood or urine I’m shocked, also have you had a bleed? All of these things that add up into the oh feck moment.

Breastfeedingworries · 27/08/2019 23:06

Sorry late response all had one hell of a day! :( Going to read and catch up now. The test was negative.

That’s great news.

Breastfeedingworries · 27/08/2019 23:11

I wanted to be tested at the doctors but he told me to take a test at home.
When I was pregnant with my daughter I was asked to take in my positive test. So I think doctors in different areas do things differently.

I’m so relieved, thanks and sorry it’s taken me ages to respond. I’ve not had an easy day.

Glad you finally got it done.
Things do sound a bit chaotic but some of that is down to worrying etc no doubt. I was surprised that you seemed to have left it a long time to retest, since having the initial test, though I understand if you only worried to do one now, because of symptoms/feelings. As otherwise to leave it since March is a bit silly, sorry to say that.
I hope now you have got the result it has put your mind at ease, and you can move on from this.
Good that you had the implant done, but do bear in mind STD's too, not saying you are sleeping around by the way, as you mention having only slept with the guy you've known a long time.
Great that you have so much help and support around you, and those you could turn to, as not everyone does. And sometimes even with a partner on board, it's not all plain sailing!
Perhaps when you get childcare cover, as you obviously do, hence you mentioning going out etc. Use some time to get help if you feel you need it. And spend time on you, I really try to make the most of my child free time! Especially to get things done that I struggle to with my ds around.

Yay

MrsMozartMkII · 28/08/2019 07:22

A good update lass.

Here's to the start of a better life for you and you daughter.

tirednhungry247 · 28/08/2019 10:35

@Breastfeedingworries I've been docs before requesting a preg test and they told me to go and buy one too?

OrangeSlices998 · 28/08/2019 13:00

Why would anyone waste a GP appointment in order to get a pregnancy test? Buy one, they're £1! What a waste of an appointment.

tirednhungry247 · 28/08/2019 13:09

@OrangeSlices998

Ew attitude. Because I had 4 false negatives at home went to the doctors, he didn't do one.
I went home vomited for 4 days. managed to get into the doctors a few days later who finally agreed to do a blood test and preg test and they came up positive.

Is that ok with you pregnancy test police?

PurpleDaisies · 28/08/2019 13:11

You waited four days. That’s why your test became positive tired.

tirednhungry247 · 28/08/2019 13:14

@PurpleDaisies no shit Sherlock. But I went because I was vomiting a lot and knew I was pregnant deep down, I wasn't expecting a positive but whilst I was there I asked for one?

Fuck sake didn't know it was illegal to ask.
Typical of yourself to @ me
You always seem to creep up in the middle of any controversy on here

PurpleDaisies · 28/08/2019 13:15

Typical of yourself to @ me

There’s no “@“ in my post.

tirednhungry247 · 28/08/2019 13:16

@PurpleDaisies
Ok the fact you didn't understand what I meant says a lot
Never mind 🤦🏻‍♀️

PurpleDaisies · 28/08/2019 13:18

I knew exactly what you meant. If you are going to criticise a poster for using the @, you should at least check that they have done that or you look pretty daft.

If posters using the @ button @tirednhungry247 bothers you, you can turn it off, as I have.

Impatienceismyvirtue · 28/08/2019 13:24

Is oldiewonk an insult now? It’s a good ‘un if so. Have to start using that.
