Think I’m pregnant again! :(

I’m really panicking, I’m a single mum to 9 month old. I had unprotected sex March this year and had morning after pill. It was very complicated and confusing upsetting time for me. (Please don’t judge)

I look pregnant again, I don’t feel differently. But I’m just connecting things and having a massive panic. I’ve drank gone out and lived life. I feel so stupid I put myself into the situation but I was so lonely. I really liked the person and thought we would be more, known him years. (He isn’t father to my dd)

I’m literally scared witless. I love my dd but I do not want another child! I am only now getting my life together!

@bottlecrow that isn’t correct, I am nearly 6m pregnant and just took a leftover cheap test to see and it was positive.

MrsXx4 · 27/08/2019 08:18

Yeah I was obsessed with testing through my pregnancy and always had a positive so it’s not right that you’d get a negative further along in pregnancy.

BitOftheSea · 27/08/2019 08:21

It’s extremely unlikely you’re pregnant. You had unprotected sex six months ago. You took the MAP, you had a later negative test, you probably had another negative test when you had the implant. It sounds more like you have an issue with anxiety and this is what you’re focused on tonight.

When exactly after having sex did you take the test, and when did you get the implant fitted?

Zoflorabore · 27/08/2019 08:29

Hope you are ok op. There is little point in anyone making you feel any worse than im sure you do already.

As a pp said, if you're not pregnant then this should be a wake up call. You've been through a rough time and need to start looking after yourself.

Hope you're ok and the test puts your mind at ease.

TooGood2BeFalse · 27/08/2019 08:34

I think you're panicking.Sounds so unlikely with implant too.Test time!

DNAshelicase · 27/08/2019 09:09

Stop getting your mum to feel your belly and take a bloody test OP!

Bumbags · 27/08/2019 09:13

There’s no way we can help until you test.

WonkyDonkey9 · 27/08/2019 09:15

Stop getting your mum to feel your belly and take a bloody test OP!
This...

What bloody madness, just take a test.

PurpleDaisies · 27/08/2019 09:15

a home pregnancy test will give you a false negative at 6 months pregnant

This is rubbish.

Breastfeedingworries · 27/08/2019 09:35

Thanks everyone! Some really lovely messages and I appreciate them. I’ve got a doctors appointment today, I need some more steroid cream for my dds eczema too so she’s coming along.

If I am I’d need to book in for a scan and thought no point sitting crying with a positive test at home!

I breast fed and didn’t have periods and then implant so I’ve not had one since birth of my daughter.

To those saying I should use protection, it was really stupid of me that’s why I got doctors appointment very next day and then sorted implant. Its the only time I’ve had sex since she was born and I’d been with him previously known him years. I did like him but he is an unreliable father and that’s put me off.

I’ve got polycystic ovaries too, so I wonder if things are down to that. I will keep you all posted! I seriously home it is booze related. I don’t ever smoke anywhere near my dd, or drink when she’s in my care. I’m a social smoker, so it’s 20 a week for me not a large daily habit. (I think I gave wrong impression there) I’m just worried as I wouldn’t eat it to hurt the baby :(

You need to take a test and go from there. That's the only way you will definitely know for sure.

I don't want to put a downer on everything but the morning after pill doesn't always work. It only delays ovulation. Once you've ovulated then it is too late. I took it on the same day and I still ended up getting pregnant! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

QueefLatifah · 27/08/2019 09:44

Take a test already and stop torturing yourself most people would run out and get one right away...

berrymummy11 · 27/08/2019 09:50

I don't understand why you don't just take a test? Are you enjoying the torture?

Islandermum · 27/08/2019 09:53

Get yourself a test and then book in a scan after that. You will be fine, no matter the outcome x

itsabongthing · 27/08/2019 09:55

Don’t be thinking about booking scans etc.
Your mind is running away with you and can play tricks on you re. feeling movements etc.
It really is highly unlikely and there seems to be little basis for getting the idea in your mind.
Do take a test ASAP (before you go to the dr)

HotdogSausagedog · 27/08/2019 09:56

I would absolutely test at home, it would be so hard at the doctors if they give you the outcome that you dont want to hear. Then you can get it confirmed etc at the drs, surely?

Gruzinkerbell1 · 27/08/2019 10:01

Do a test before you go to the drs

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 27/08/2019 10:02

Is your mother a midwife?
I'm somewhat boggled that she would have the faintest clue what she was doing prodding around with your belly.

Totototoro · 27/08/2019 10:07

To the people saying 'I don't understand why you don't take a test'

She posted this at 1am. It's 10am.

How the hell is she supposed to get a test that fast 🤔

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 27/08/2019 10:09

It's unlikely that you are pregnant, especially if you were exclusively breastfeeding a 3 month old (were you)? AND took the MAP.

I think our bodies can invent symptoms and your anxiety about it is causing you to be extra tuned in on 'symptoms'

Good luck with the doctor

QueefLatifah · 27/08/2019 10:09

@Totototoro she’s had months since she had sex...

Totototoro · 27/08/2019 10:11

But shes only just had the realisation she may be pregnant....

Usa666 · 27/08/2019 10:41

Re the morning after pill - I was told by a pharmacist that it doesn't only delay ovulation but can also prevent implantation so you might be alright.

peridito · 27/08/2019 10:44

perhaps we'll hear results of test soon .
