Think I’m pregnant again! :(

I’m really panicking, I’m a single mum to 9 month old. I had unprotected sex March this year and had morning after pill. It was very complicated and confusing upsetting time for me. (Please don’t judge)

I look pregnant again, I don’t feel differently. But I’m just connecting things and having a massive panic. I’ve drank gone out and lived life. I feel so stupid I put myself into the situation but I was so lonely. I really liked the person and thought we would be more, known him years. (He isn’t father to my dd)

I’m literally scared witless. I love my dd but I do not want another child! I am only now getting my life together!

Can you get a test first thing in the morning? Have you had regular periods?

Brenna24 · 27/08/2019 04:44

No advice other than to try and test. Good luck.

petyeti · 27/08/2019 04:47

You'd be 6 or 7 months? You need to go to the dr op. If you've just had a c section you need to be careful with another pregnancy so close together.

There is no point in listing a load of symptoms. You need to POAS.

Also, just to add, many things you described can be put down to other things. It's not unusual to start gaining weight at this stage of breastfeeding, especially if baby is dropping feeds and you are still feeding the hunger pangs. The weird feeling could be gas. I know there was a period after I had dd where gas felt like a baby moving - really bizarre.

Next, if you are binge drinking, it isn't a surprise that you are piling on weight (they don't call it a beer belly for nothing) and heart burn can be down to poor diet.

Take a test and then worry. If it is negative, some major lifestyle changes may be necessary.

Go and see your gp for help.

Your body is still recovering from having your daughter a few months ago so your weight and hormones could be up and down for another few months.
It's late. Try to get some sleep and deal with this in the morning.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 27/08/2019 06:03

Feeling something moving could definitely be gas. Since having my DD, I’ve ‘felt’ something multiple times. DD is still an only child 5 years later.

adaline · 27/08/2019 06:17

Even if you're not pregnant you do need to see your GP.

The symptoms you describe are linked to many conditions - some serious, some not, but you really do need to be checked out.

NameChangerAmI · 27/08/2019 06:26

Nobody on here can really help, but I totally understand why you have posted.

I've been convinced twice in my life that I was pregnant when I wasn't. I was 100% sure that I was.

Make getting a test the first priority after you've had your breakfast this morning.

Keeping everything crossed for you.

Also, regardless of the result, you need to see a Dr.

You need sone contraception that will cover you in case you don’t use condoms.

OhioOhioOhio · 27/08/2019 06:51

Do you actually know either way yet?

dottiedodah · 27/08/2019 06:59

Hopefully either way ,if you are pregnant you can come to terms with it and sort things out .If not then take a deep breath and see if you can cut down on drinking/smoking a little bit.Do you feel anxious? like how would I cope in the most difficult scenario?.Maybe take a new test and see your Doctor either way for some advice /support on your life choices .You sound a little embarrassed TBH. You are entitled to nights out and yes sex you know!.Just because you are a Mum now doesnt mean you have to become a Nun!

barryfromclareisfit · 27/08/2019 07:00

I hope you are ok this morning, OP, and have had chance to poas. Definitely see a go about your symptoms. Be kind to yourself. You haven’t done anything wrong.

barryfromclareisfit · 27/08/2019 07:00

Go is autocorrect for GP. Doctor not your grandparent.

Itallt0omuch · 27/08/2019 07:05

It's unlikely you'd be pregnant with MAP and implant. The bloating and heartburn could be due to drinking too much.

DeadCucumber · 27/08/2019 07:08

Excessive drinking can cause weight gain, but just take a test to be sure.

Wildorchidz · 27/08/2019 07:10

Go to your Gp any way and ask for help to stop smoking. It’s not good for your little girl. Also cut way back on the booze. And get tested for STIs.

MummyLikesCrisps · 27/08/2019 07:12
Hmm
MamaOfBothTeams · 27/08/2019 07:23

Sounds highly unlikely that you would be pregnant however if you don't want another baby then you need to take precautions

NoSauce · 27/08/2019 07:26

If you’re not pregnant ( which I doubt ) use this experience as a wake up call OP.

MrsMozartMkII · 27/08/2019 07:33

Have a handhold lass.

You've already recognised that you need help regarding your drinking.

If you are somehow pregnant, we'll you didn't know and there's no point in beating yourself up about it. It is what it is.

Either way, this is a new stage in your life and your last post sounds as though you have the strength if character to make it a good one.

kaytee87 · 27/08/2019 07:37

I doubt you're pregnant as you took MAP and have an implant fitted.
I've heard the implant sometimes gives women horrible side affects and weight gain. So that and the drinking has probably given you the belly.
Get to the doctors and start using condoms as well!

Apolloanddaphne · 27/08/2019 07:43

You need to rule out being pregnant first. Go get a test today. Depending on the outcome of that you can decide what you need to do next.

BottleCrow · 27/08/2019 08:00

Hi there, I think a pregnancy test measures HGV, which only rises at the beginning of pregnancy - in short, a home pregnancy test will give you a false negative at 6 months pregnant - you need to go to the doctor to get bloods done.

Gowgi · 27/08/2019 08:04

I'm so sorry to read this, hope you are feeling better this morning OP ❤️

Woodlandwitch · 27/08/2019 08:09

There are options OP (if you are pregnant)
Adoption being one of them.
