what time do your dc start and finish school?

I was chatting to a friend of mine in the USA and her dc start school at 8.30 and finish and finish at 3.30 and they have an hour lunch.

I’m in Ireland and my dc start primary school at 8.40, finish at 2.20 they have a half hour for lunch
The school I work in starts at 9.00 and finishes at 2.40 (half hour lunch break)

What are your dc’s hours and what country are you based in?

9am to 3pm. Near Glasgow Scotland. I thought everywhere was the same.

Think 45 min lunch. But maybe its 40mins.

In the Middle East, one start at 7.15am and finish at 2.50pm, other starts 7.10am and finishes 1.20pm (one secondary, one primary)

South East, starts at 8.40, lunch at 11.45 for 45 minutes and finishes at 3.30

Northwest England 8-30 to 2.30 half hour lunch.

High school.

Youngest 9am - 3pm.

Eldest (Secondary) 8.50am - 3.40pm but finish at 1.10pm on a Friday

Scottish Borders and primary is 8:45am till 3:15pm with a 45 minute lunch.

Essex, 8.55am until 3.15pm, I think its 50 minutes for lunch.

I'm in Pretoria, South Africa. My daughter starts school at 8 a.m. and finishes at 1:45 p.m. Lunch is 45 minutes.

East Scotland. 8.50-3.15pm mon-thu with 20 minute morning break and 45 min lunch. Friday is 8.50am-12.30pm.

Schools all seem to finish so early now. When I was at at school in the '80s it was 9 'til 4.

My brothers school is 8:40-3:05- lunch 30 minutes, break 30 minutes

That’s an English high school

DD - 8.30am till 4.30pm
DS - 8.30am till 4pm

Both private schools though.

Midlands.
My ds starts at 08.30 and finishes at 17.00. Half hour lunch.
Travel time of 90 mins each way.
He has a very long day.

1hr, 5mins lunch.
