My dp and i went in one day.Gave our real names.Was waiting ages.We went up and out coffee cups had Patty and Sue.

Our names sound nothing like Patty or Sue.And my dp is a man.

Shirley, I have quite an uncommon name. He could find me in the phone book.

I had no idea the phone book even existed!

But if you’re that worried about being tracked down you could always go ex-directory?

You just give your first name (or one of your choice... or say no that's ok) in any Starbucks I've ever visited.

To this day I've never seen anybody ready with the yellow pages to track down someone they have no other information about!

I am yet to find anyone else in the world who spells their name like I do, but I still can't see how anyone would track me down with just my first name!!!!

Never. My name is somewhat unusual (but not weird like Nevaeh-Jayde or something) and I get blank looks even in the UK.

I always give Lydia or Jane because it throws off the spies that might be following me. I am incredibly traceable otherwise but I think this trick may be the one thing that keeps GCHQ/MI5/CIA/Mossad/Special Branch off my track.

I use the mobile app to order ahead of time. Downside is the barrister knows my real name and Starbucks HQ are probably tracking my every move but it’s worth it because I waltz in and my coffee is waiting for me on the side (and I know it’s mine because my name is on it).

I’d say they are far more likely to find out much more information about you from your previous phone book. Y’know, like your full name and address....
