If you voted Leave, did you/do you want 'no deal'?

No arguments or even debates about Brexit, not wanting to start a fight, just want to count the numbers in a very unscientific manner.
It seems any deal at all is quickly falling off the table, never mind the easiest deal in history.

If you voted Leave , do you want 'no deal'?

I voted leave, after much agonising. I regretted it almost immediately. I certainly didn't vote for no deal - it wasn't even on the horizon as a possibility.

I now want to Revoke and Remain. Or at least another referendum with Remain as an option.

bellinisurge · 30/07/2019 08:14

Asking a question @tomtom1999xx . Not getting an answer.
Would you accept a border in the sea and NI as a special economic zone? I would.

Annonymous1 · 30/07/2019 08:16

I voted leave in the full understanding that anything less than just walking away would be a poor dealfor the country in the long term. You dont divorce your H and agree to still give him a blowjob once and month and wash his socks for him in return for him washing your car

I wanted no deal.

Soola · 30/07/2019 08:21

@tomtom1999xx

As usual, remainers are taking over a thread aimed at leavers.
And they wonder why leavers don’t bother posting.

Let them stomp their feet! They’re just sore losers. We the majority won and it’s now happening whether they like it or not.

bellinisurge · 30/07/2019 08:24

I'll ask you @Soola as other posters are studiously ignoring
Would you accept a border in the sea and NI as a special economic zone? I would.

SilverySurfer · 30/07/2019 08:33

Milkywayfan
Ps silvery - is Asking about Northern Ireland like this reasonable? To me it is just asking where does your trade off lie?

Of course it's not unreasonable to ask.

billysboy · 30/07/2019 08:38

deal or no deal , not bothered as long as we are out

the remainers seem to ignore or underestimate how many people there are like me ( thick and rascist obvs ) most are silent

I have watched for years since Blair and labour sold our gold opened up our borders and the construction sector amongst others was flooded with cheap labour happily absorbed by the slummy mummys in fulham and their polish plumbers
Trades were then looked down on as their little darlings had a degree dont you know and they couldnt possibly train to be a plumber / bricklayer / nurse

Labour are floundering round now and couldnt run a bath with Corbyn and Abbott , a lot of remainers are all aghast that the thickos who voted leave like Boris and see him as someone that will at least have an opinion

bellinisurge · 30/07/2019 08:45

Ok @billysboy , third time lucky, I'll ask you because no other self styled No Dealer on here wants to answer
Would you accept a border in the sea and NI as a special economic zone? I would.

billysboy · 30/07/2019 08:51

yes

bellinisurge · 30/07/2019 08:54

Me too @billysboy . Then we have common ground. I voted Remain. You, I think, voted Leave. You'd be surprised how many people on tbe so-called Remoaner threads agree with that too.
Isn't that something to work with?

Brexit Isn’t centred around what you personally will, or will not accept.

Same as the rest of us.

bellinisurge · 30/07/2019 08:56

No it isn't @tomtom1999xx . You are right. But imagine if lots of people on both "sides " were willing to accept it.

bellinisurge · 30/07/2019 08:58

@Motheroffourdragons we already do. No equal marriage or full pregnancy rights in NI. That's today. Right now.

All of the goods and services that we buy from the EU will still need to be bought from somewhere.

That’s why we need a deal with the EU. To get the best options for getting those goods and services.

Walking away will not mean that our country’s needs will disappear.

Hence the need for a deal. Maybe the language needs changing as people seem to think a deal with the EU is a bad thing.

bellinisurge · 30/07/2019 09:10

Tbe point I'm making, @Motheroffourdragons is that the argument that "we are just the same" doesn't stand up. They also have the right to an Irish passport which people in tbe rest of the UK don't have.
A special economic zone would delay/fend off (re)unification with Ireland because it would be financially beneficial for NI to stay as a special economic zone.
Ireland has removed claim to NI from its constitution as part of GFA. However, if there is a majority in NI for (re)unification that will happen. Tbe result of the referendum in NI showed both communities supported Remain because it got a majority there. That would only happen where both communities support it. DUP should know that the demographic clock is ticking towards (re) unification. That's why they want to destroy GFA and always have . If NI is made a special economic zone, the demographic clock will pause while people see what an economically good thing it is.

Voted leave (saw the TTIP coming in the back door)

Would rather no brexit than no deal.

bellinisurge · 30/07/2019 09:19

I found common ground on here with @billysboy . Wouldn't it be great if there was more of that?

@Motheroffourdragons you may have a point. But if Scotland wants to leave, that is its choice. I'm not in Scotland. I wanted it to stay in the last Indyref and thought that was that with the result. But the people of Scotland were promised a second go if anything substantial happened. Brexit is that thing. However we Brexit, it's up to them.

@iggly

I totally agree, our needs do not disappear and we will still need goods and services, nobody is refuting this. With the freedom to have multiple and competitive international trade deals we will still be able to access goods and services as well as (hopefully) boosting flagging uk industries (sich as specialist engineering) which are currently suffering from being undercut but other EU countries and priced out in other countries due to EU imposed taxes/trade deals. Becoming more self sufficient and fostering new/previously lost international trade relationships will do us good
