The dumbest cooking-related mistake you ever made?

I would say cooking a chicken wrap for twice as long as I needed to and it burnt

A small splash of boiling oil on my finger last week and this is the result...
Have to keep it covered just so I don't gross myself out too much or try and pop it.

I once tipped inadequately drained potatoes into a roasting dish of hot fat and got a big spattering burn up my arm. I’d had a couple of glasses of wine and was careless, I don’t drink while cooking as a result.

It's actually not painful at all just super annoying.
I had drunk a glass of wine but really couldn't blame that.
Ouch with hot oil potato combination!
