I was at an event today (trade show type thing) and on one stand was a huge HUGE bouquet of gorgeous flowers. You had to put your business card in for a chance to win them.

I won them!!

They're sitting on my coffee table and I'm not even watching TV, I just keep looking at these flowers and sighing because they're so beautiful. They're bringing me absolute joy just to look at them.

So, what visual things bring you joy??

Paisley pattern.

My kitchen. I put so much work into it and every time I go in there I get a little rush of joy

Onesmallstepforaman · 22/07/2019 20:35

Seeing birds of prey flying as I travel around. Kestrels, the occasional sparrowhawk, buzzards and a few red kites. Amazing creatures and majestic at times.

The sound of my little GDCs laughter - so full of joy :)
Picking the first outdoor tomatoes from my garden
Enjoying the first coffee of the day in the garden (especially on Saturdays)

My Emma Bridgewater collections.

Oh, mostly a gorgeous view. That really brings me happiness. We’ve recently been to the Peak District and I could have cried, it was so breathtakingly beautiful.

stargirl1701 · 22/07/2019 21:09

Picture books on a front facing shelf.

PutyourtoponTrevor · 22/07/2019 21:10

Little lambs bouncing around the field and my dog's paws when she's dreaming

boosterrooster · 22/07/2019 21:11

DS face when he sees me for the first time in the morning Smile
Candles burning in a dark room
And I could look at pictures of beaches all day

timeforakinderworld · 22/07/2019 21:12

Sounds lovely OP! My dining room table is bringing me joy today as it has been piled high with books and piano music and is now completely clear except for a bright runner and a ceramic bowl. Also I love my (walking) commute to work through the city centre, past lots of frescoes and statues and interesting architecture. Never get bored of it.

scaryteacher · 22/07/2019 21:13

My cats lying on their sides showing their tummies with their feet crooked at a happy feet angle.

Looking at the wonderful house we currently rent - built in redbrick in 1775 - it is gorgeous.

Watching the woodpeckers and parakeets in the garden.

Nicehotel · 22/07/2019 21:17

Trees, trees and more trees 🌳

dementedma · 22/07/2019 21:18

The wildflower verges round here and in the garden.
Rain running down windows
A beautiful sunset
Light sparkling on the sea
Falling snow
Candlelight
Log fires

Gingerkittykat · 22/07/2019 22:30

My kitties always make me smile.
Old photos.
The sea, don't care if it is sunny or raining or smooth or high tide I love sitting and watching it.

Sparkle733 · 22/07/2019 22:35

A tidy and clean house Smile

Sewrainbow · 22/07/2019 22:36

My green glass candle holders against the greenery of the garden, picked them up in a second hand shop. The colours are gorgeous.

WoollyMummoth · 22/07/2019 22:41

The moor top in any weather, always spellbinding.
My stroppy teens actually smiling and laughing together rather than insulting each other!!
The pandora rope bracelet that belongs to my dd which she has let me ‘borrow’. It’s beautiful and it reminds me of her.

ThereIsNoSuchThingAsRoadTax · 22/07/2019 22:42

Flowers. Fields with poppies scattered through the crops. My dog's stupid face when she's happy. The sea. Mist over fields on crisp spring mornings. Piles of dry leaves in the autumn.

LifeIsGoodish · 22/07/2019 22:57

I've just come indoors from watching bats feeding in the twilight. Ethereal and alien, yet they are mammals, just like us.

My dc playing with bubbles in the garden, giggling and leaping about and dancing with no music, a rare moment when both were uninhibited and relaxed. 16 and 18 years old.
