What visual things bring you joy?

I was at an event today (trade show type thing) and on one stand was a huge HUGE bouquet of gorgeous flowers. You had to put your business card in for a chance to win them.

I won them!!

They're sitting on my coffee table and I'm not even watching TV, I just keep looking at these flowers and sighing because they're so beautiful. They're bringing me absolute joy just to look at them.

So, what visual things bring you joy??

Fields of ripe wheat with the wind blowing through it
The view over London from Alexandra palace
Stargazer lilies
Apple blossom
Big pumpkins
Crocodiles

GroggyLegs · 22/07/2019 23:07

The view from my bedroom window. I love how it changes with the seasons.
When the sky is thundery grey, but the trees are still bathed in Golden sunlight - incredible.
Rainbows.
Shiny taps in a clean bathroom.
My sleeping children.

All of the above move me in a way I can't describe.

GroggyLegs · 22/07/2019 23:08

... except the taps. I don't get emotional over them 😂

Hotterthanahotthing · 22/07/2019 23:10

Swallows flying high over head and swooping down.Bats at twilight.
Thick, freshly fallen snow.the first daffodils in spring.
Still ponds with a perfect reflection of the trees beside it.
Waterfalls.
Sun dappling through tree leaves.
May flies.Flowers especially wild flower meadows.
Stars.A full moon on a clear night.
When the sky goes purple black before a storm but there is still sunshine give everything in between clearer ,sharper colours.
Well that's it for starters.

Poppins2016 · 22/07/2019 23:11

My baby (his smile!).

My cats.

My garden.

Flowers. I love looking at a freshly picked vase of sweet peas.

Thistles24 · 22/07/2019 23:47

The machair in bloom.

Mrsjayy · 23/07/2019 08:40

I do like my bedroom view we are in the loft and looking past all the houses to the hills is lovely and peaceful.

SpamChaudFroid · 23/07/2019 09:18

Streams and waterfalls - I'm planning a move to a part of the country because it has those things.

Little froggies' heads breaking the waters surface.

Seeing a pike, only for it to melt back into the shadows again.

Baby animals, ALL THE BABY ANIMALS Grin

Pinkarsedfly · 23/07/2019 09:23

I love it when the Amazon fire stick goes onto screensaver mode. There are some gorgeous landscapes on it. I often find myself hypnotised.

Pinkarsedfly · 23/07/2019 09:24

All the different shades of green that make up the trees and shrubs in my front garden.

flissfloss65 · 23/07/2019 09:27

Lush green countryside. I found real inner peace when we visited the the Pean District.

Watching a group of children singing. Even if my children aren't involved. Often listening can be painful, but to watch their little faces, the fidgeting, the enjoyment and sometimes the boredom, there's always one who is completely immersed and singing their little heart out.

I love how united they can be. One child helping another who has forgotten the words, or tearful about the occasion. Some adult has invested time, patience and passion in pulling this group of children together to perform a song for my pleasure. I've no musical skills whatsoever so it baffles me how the adult manages to do it.

I always cry when watching a group of children singing. And love it even more when one of my own is part of it. It's a big part of my childrens primary school life and I'll miss it next year when my youngest moves to secondary.
Wonder if they'll let me in just to watch other peoples children? Blush

LaMarschallin · 23/07/2019 09:40

@Bloodycats

Compact ear wax removal.

Love this Smile

It is sooo satisfying, isn't it?

The oven when I've totally got it gleaming after months of neglect.
I keep going back, opening the door and smiling the way others might smile at a newborn baby.

Obviously, the only reason I neglect the oven for that length of time is to recreate that lovely feeling... Blush

Nottobesoldseparately · 23/07/2019 09:46

My tubs and hanging baskets. I love the riot of colour.

My washing hanging out on the line.

I can stand in my bedroom looking out of the window for hours.

Also, my husband's face. I love looking at him, even when he's annoying me!

And my dog. Who doesn't like looking at daft Labradors??

marcopront · 23/07/2019 10:17

This, my view at the moment.
The yellow kite is being flown by my daughter on her second kite surfing lesson.

DownUdderer · 23/07/2019 11:25

I saw a humpback whale leap out of the water yesterday, it was off in the distance, but I saw it!

Mrsjayy · 23/07/2019 12:44

There is a guy who walks a minature pincher past my window the dog is hilarious it looks furious as it scurries past its little legs bring me joy 😁

MargotsFlounceyBlouse · 23/07/2019 13:01

Little still life oil painting I got by an artist called Sarah Sedwick. It's so spare but so vibrant.

My kids when they're sleeping.

Teacups and old wool blankets from the vintage market.

Sudden sun on the mountains when it's been cloudy.

Cats. In any configuration!

SheWoreRedVelvet · 23/07/2019 13:51

My DH. He's not conventionally handsome, but he's really good looking with a gorgeous grin. We've been together forever but I still sometimes just gaze at him as he's sleeping.

We often rent the same AirBnB cottage which has the most stunning view of a tree and distant hills from its small bedroom window, and it just catches at my heart everytime.

Elvesdontdomagic · 23/07/2019 15:05

Mountains with rivers at the bottom like wasdale in Cumbria

Looking out to sea from the beach

My children laughing

Candle lit dinners and candles generally

Moroccan decor and beautiful buildings

My children's toys strewn around the front garden. I love the contrast with our neighbours neat gardens! Toys make me feel happy and homely and love being a mum.

Babies smiling or gurgling/cooing

Loads of things!

theluckiest · 23/07/2019 15:50

Bees.

My flowerbed that was completely empty this time last year....it's now overflowing with colour & beauty. (Every time I went shopping, I couldn't resist buying a new plant - Thank you Aldi Grin)

A freshly mown lawn.

Sunsets. Especially over the sea.

The sea.

Mountains.

Fairy lights

Nonstopbuttmachine · 23/07/2019 16:20

The sea. It's the first thing I see when I open my curtains in the morning yet it looks different every single day. I sit there with my coffee, watching it and the little fishing boats go by, marvelling at its enormity ❤️

Amazing sunsets here too, very dramatic. I love seeing tourists at the side of the road, poised with their cameras.

AndromedaPerseus · 23/07/2019 17:10

Where are you Macropont?

SquatBetty · 23/07/2019 17:29

Paths mowed in long grass
