Hi folks,

Amazon Prime Day is now live. The name is slightly misleading as the event actually lasts until Tuesday 16 July.

For the uninitiated, Prime Day is when Amazon offer Prime members exclusive discounts on all sorts of things.

We know it’s not for everyone but, if you’re hoping to bag a bargain this year, you’ve come to the right place. Let us know what you're looking for and we will do our best to sort the wheat from the chaff and hunt down a good deal. As always, feel free to share any great buys you spot yourself, too.

To get you started here are a few deals we think are particularly good:

Oral-B SmartSeries 6500 CrossAction Electric Toothbrush - was £92.95, now £54.99

6” waterproof Kindle Paperwhite - was £119.99, now £79.99

Amazon Echo Show 5 - was £79.99, now £49.99

90 Finish All in 1 Max Dishwasher Tablets - was £13.20, now £8.99 (not the most exciting but a nice saving)

Apple iPhone XR (64GB) - was £749, now £639]]

40% off selected Lego (including Star Wars, Harry Potter and the Lego Movie 2)

Xbox One S 1TB All Digital Console + Extra Controller + FIFA 19 (Download code) - bundle price £314.97, now £169.99

You do need to be a Prime member to take part and Amazon are offering £20 off a yearly membership until 16 July (£59 instead of £79). There is also a 30-day free trial (sign up here) if you don’t fancy paying for membership but still want access to the deals.

Remember, if you don’t want to pay after the event, you can follow our handy guide on how to cancel Prime.

You can have a gander at any early deals on the Prime Day hub.

We might add a link into your post if we think it would be helpful to other users.

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

@Graphista we’ve got this one and it’s really good. Not sure what kind of budget you had in mind though.

@PolkadotsAndMoonbeams not boring at all, I have been eyeing up 120 pouches of cat food...it's the simple things.

TheSproutOfWrath · 16/07/2019 09:22

I've just got a 6 pack of dettol laundry cleaner. I must be very boring 🙈

BillGiggeloe · 16/07/2019 09:26

This Works deep sleep spray was half price last night. Not sure if it still is now.

Anyone after Phillips Hue, I've just bought the Hue Play bars. They're £99.99 at the moment and come with a bridge you can sell on eBay for £30 if you already have one.

They are brilliant.

BlingLoving · 16/07/2019 09:42

Not very exciting, but 200ml of bio oil is £10. I've got a couple in my basket as I love bio oil (use it in the bath as a lovely moisturising bath oil for the whole family).

Am toying with a new straightener/curler as mine is old and definitely not giving the smooth definition I used to get (I just discovered, when browsing amazon, that I bought mine 11 years ago!).

Asta19 · 16/07/2019 09:45

Good bargain on a soda stream today, £99 down to £38. I was thinking of getting one a while ago to make fizzy water but I didn't want to pay nearly £100 for one, so I may well get this.

FrankieGMumsnet · 16/07/2019 10:00

Thanks for everyone posting deals. To make it easier for others to find them we are going to start adding links to posts - happy deal hunting Grin

PleaseGoogleIt · 16/07/2019 10:03

I got the Shark cordless vacuum - £379.99 on Shark's website and I got it from Prime for £199.99Grin.

I was going to buy one last week - the cheaper version for £229.00, so glad I didn't.

FrankieGMumsnet · 16/07/2019 10:08

@BarmyBitchNeighbour the Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd Generation has just gone on deal for £159.99 (was £179.99).

79Fleur · 16/07/2019 10:19

They have added all child’s farm moisturisers and body wash / shampoo etc... 6 x bottles for £14.49!!! Crazy cheap - love prime day!

HannahGMumsnet · 16/07/2019 10:23

@EgremontRusset - also on the look out for some noise-cancelling headphones over here

Spotted these Sennheiser HD Special Edition Noise-cancelling Headphones for £89.99 (were £179.99)?

Goforitgirl · 16/07/2019 10:35

@caffeinebuzz if you're still looking or a balance bike, there are a couple of Prime Day deals on at the moment.

Not sure how old your DD is, but there's this one which is suitable for 10 - 24 months (£36.71), or this one which is aimed at slightly older kids (18 months and over, and £32).
