I love a food thread and normally pick up some new ideas as well Smile

Breakfast, poached eggs on toast. Lots of coffee

Lunch chicken salad & party rings with the dc

Dinner later will be sausage and butter bean stew & a bottle of red for me and dh

Dessert home made strawberry ice cream ( the ice cream maker has turned out to be a great buy)

D: stir fry veg, cauliflower rice and salmon

Snack : I made gluten free courgette muffins and they were very nice, thank you @AwkwardSquad. Though I should have used more cinnamon and perhaps some nutmeg.

Next week I will try the savoury muffins with cheese.

Excellent, M0RVEN! I’ve found I need to double the amount of spices that the recipe suggests. I put allspice, cinnamon and ginger in the last batch, and some sultanas.

B - muesli, kiwi, yoghurt
Snack - courgette muffin
L - hummus, salads, odds and ends from yesterday
Cherries
D - chickpea and courgette stew with brown rice, yoghurt and herb salsa; rhubarb polenta cake and more yoghurt

Tomorrow will involve considerably less courgette and more frying.

Coffee and grapefruit for breakfast.
Lunch was a jacket potato with tuna and salad and salad cream
dinner was falafel, hummus, salad and a quinoa/feta salad thing from Aldi.
I am trying to have either bread or booze on alternate days (and two days when I have neither) today is a no bread day so far I'll either spoil it in a whirl of gin or have this as my no B day.

Very unhealthy day today but we are travelling to holiday destination!

B - peanut butter on toast/tea

Snack - some strawberries

L - ham/salad sandwich, bag of crisps and an orange

D - sausages (3), root veg mash, onion gravy, petit pois and green beans.
3 cups of tea during day plus a large glass of water.
Just about to make a milky coffee and have some carrot cake.

Breakfast: cold custard, sliced banana and golden syrup - weird but I just fancied it
Morning break - chocolate rice cake bar
Lunch - 4 corn cakes, 2 with cream cheese, 2 with mashed avocado and cherry tomatoes. Aldi biscuit bar.
Dinner - will be roasted veg and a salmon fillet

Might have some chocolate or a frozen milkybar mousse later

A cappuccino and a Lotus biscuit
Rigatoni with mushrooms, bacon and creme fraiche. Green salad.

Oh I forgot 1 lovely ‘healthy’ energy bomb DD2 made: 2 mashed bananas, handful of blueberries and stir in oats until thick. Shape into balls, drizzle honey and bake. Yum!

I like threads like these because I'm always get inspired to try something new.

I hardly eat breakfast but have a large lunch around 2pm and I graze the rest of the day.

However, I have my three young grandchildren staying with me for a few weeks and I have had to get into the habit of eating throughout the day.

So far today:

Rice Crispies with fresh blueberries and toast
Apples and peanut butter for dipping
Cheese, ham and cucumber sandwich with pretzels on the side
Carrots and celery with a hummus dip
Ice Lolly
Pasta Arrabiata with a side salad
Wine for me once the kids go to bed!
