I'd say come and do me some free childcare then but I don't think id want you anywhere near any kids

You'll be thrilled to know I'm a childminder Grin

You don't respect mine so I won't bother to respect yours. I won't waste my time replying to you again

Right back atch'ya.

MauisHouseOnMaui · 05/07/2019 20:10

Free hours for over 3s isn't universal I don't think - if one parent earns over 100k, you're not eligible.

That's for the 30 hours free childcare, the 15 hours early years education is universal for over threes. Some people use it for preschool/nursery school and others use it towards their childcare bill but it's 15hrs a week in term time only.

Dirtydancefloors · 05/07/2019 20:19

Love how sour and savage this threads get 😂😂😂

ItIsWhatItIsInnit · 05/07/2019 20:31

Roast dinner is a bland, boring and overrated meal and I have been glad to see the back of it ever since I moved out of my parents 8 years ago

ducks out of thread

whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 05/07/2019 20:33

Christ @MauisHouseOnMaui

Some folk don't like common sense do they!? Grin

And to the PP who clearly have a vendetta against overweight people, ever considered there being a genuine medical reason for it? I'm disabled and can't walk more than 10 metres at a time. Spend most of the day in a wheelchair on the days i manage to leave the house. I already eat a drastically reduced diet in order to keep my weight down as much as I can. Any advice on how I can 'eat less and move more' since there's so many experts around!?

Amibeingdaft81 · 05/07/2019 20:47

When I was with my ex, he warned >£100k a year and I didn’t work.
And I got 15 hours free childcare at nursery.
This was 2013

I like the royal family
I like Meghan markle
I loathe chairman Corbyn

PoppingOneOutIn2020 · 05/07/2019 21:09

For context, I'm 23, love hair and makeup and fashion. But I bloody loathe love island. I feel like i look like a love island fan, everyone asked me if i watch it. I cant stand the thought of it.

I hate bacon, too salty.

I do 100% believe money buys happiness (to some extent). And noone will change my view.

Apple are shite, but then so are Samsung. The biggest technology brands are lacking massively and still taking extortionate amount of money for products.

I absolute hate surprises, I hate it when someone tells me they bought my Christmas/birthday present but wont tell me what it is. Either dont tell me yoube got me one or let me know what the bloody hell it is. Not because I'm ungrateful, but just because I hate not knowing things.

As much as I love yo get acrylic nails done, only for occasions as xsnt have them in work, I hate these 6 inch talons everybody has now.

Being drunk is not fun. Drinking is, drunk is not.

Much prefer to sit on a balcony or in a nice cocktail bar than I would go clubbing.

Furiosa · 05/07/2019 21:22

I think PizzaGate might be real.....

Martiniwitholives · 05/07/2019 21:25

@PoppingOneOutIn2020

100%, I'm also 23 and agree with all yours apart from the bacon ;)

PoppingOneOutIn2020 · 05/07/2019 21:30

@martiniwitholives
Loving the user name, glad we agree. I feel like the only young one with these views!

roisinagusniamh · 05/07/2019 21:33

Most women's hands look worse with gel nail varnish ....it highlights all their flaws .
Ordinary nail polish is more flattering .

MauisHouseOnMaui · 05/07/2019 21:34

in agreement re. childcare government funded hours. How about give more funding to families whose parents return to work after finishing their maternity leave! Instead of funding a child's placement so some lazy fuckers can doss about all day whilst someone else looks after their child! Makes me fume

It is not childcare. It is Early Years Education, it is only available in term time, and it based around the EYFS curriculum followed in all early years settings.

Studies showed that children from certain backgrounds tend to start school at a disadvantage compared to their peers and that few of them ever make up that gap which ends up having a negative impact on their attainment throughout their education.

The children identified as being at risk of this disadvantage are children from non-working families, children from low income households, children with disabilities or SEN, and looked after children.

The funded places for two year olds who meet the criteria gives them access to educational opportunities to aid their development so that when they start school they are not behind their peers. The scheme is there to give them the leg-up that they need to give them the chance to achieve their full potential.

It's nothing to do with lazy fuckers dossing about. It is an intervention aimed at young children which is proven to directly benefit those children.

SlowLiving · 05/07/2019 21:34

Tanni Grey Thompson is not fat.

missmouse101 · 05/07/2019 21:49

I love chubby men. Coffee and alcohol taste foul. Vets do not charge extortionate fees, it's the true cost of healthcare and their equipment, staff and overheads. Tattoos look crap. Hot weather is hideous. OAPs should not go shopping on a Saturday. (They have all week when it's quieter.)

Martiniwitholives · 05/07/2019 21:53

@PoppingOneOutIn2020

Thank you! And I know me too X

Fudgenugget · 05/07/2019 21:57

Climate change is a con.
Religion is a con. Promote reason.
The hate within Far Left and Far Right politics isn't very different.
Jeremy Corbyn is an activist, not a politician.
Mushrooms, coffee, mustard are all foods of the devil.

itsallafiddle · 05/07/2019 22:06

Bloody hell these threads drive me nuts...I read through them going "WTF???" Seriously though, who doesn't like cheese!

missmouse101 · 05/07/2019 22:08

Everyone should have a small car unless they have more than 2 children. Children should not do work experience unless they are at least 16. Mobile phones should be for over 16s only.

ragged · 05/07/2019 22:18

If no WE before age 16, I guess that means no paid employment either before age 16? DC would protest about that.

missmouse101 · 05/07/2019 22:25

You don't do work experience for casual part time jobs! Another one.... school uniform rules should be respected.

historysock · 05/07/2019 22:27

I think we should bring back a years worth of national service for all 18 year olds-a free choice of either military or community based service.
