Mine is nigella!Grin

I just love everything about her and her food. Her recipes always turn out perfect for me and I love how in depth her books are and the little descriptions with each recipe.

Jamie also has a half go success rate here, kids love everything I’ve ever made by him, but the long lists of ingredients can make feeding a large family very expensive l, and I don’t mind spending a fair bit on food!

Tom kerridge recipes are nice but I can’t watch him on tv, his wet mouth and chunky thighs make me feel Envy.

Who’s recipes never fail for you and who do you love watching?

Nigel Slater. His series when he made food from leftovers was hilarious. His leftovers were not anything like my fridge the day before food shopping!

Mabellavender · 28/06/2019 21:29

Oh how could I forget Ina garten!Grin not watched her for years!

Hairy Bikers have great recipes and seem like genuinely nice men, they’re so down to earth and look like they really enjoy the food when they try it.

Sorry if the comments bout Tom kerridge upset anyone but that’s the way I feel Blush as op said he is just generally moist Grin

Love Nigel slater and his carefully wrapped pieces of meat in brown paper and string Grin

HFW I find slightly boring, he does too much veggie stuff.

James Martin is a prick and yes I do know him personally.

ForalltheSaints · 28/06/2019 21:38

Delia Smith. No-one else comes close.

Letthemysterybe · 28/06/2019 21:42

I love to watch rick stein and the hairy bikers on their travels. Particularly when they are somewhere on the med cooking with grandmothers who don’t speak a word of English.

iklboo · 28/06/2019 21:46

I would love to stay overnight in Nigel Slater's house. A lovely supper with wine and chat, then a leisurely brunch the next morning with all his little waxed packages and bags of goodies.

iklboo · 28/06/2019 21:48

I can't watch Rick Stein anymore after the demise of the lovely Chalky (sob).

Lllot5 · 28/06/2019 21:50

Can’t stand nigella or Gordon Ramsey at any price.
I like Jamie Oliver his recipes are good easy to follow and we use them all the time.
Hairy bikers and Hugh fearnly Whittington are good too.

Winenotttea · 28/06/2019 21:50

Awwww Chalky ☹️ I do like Rick Stein but for some reason I really don’t like his son.

plominoagain · 28/06/2019 21:54

Nigella - when I do my Christmas baking weekend , I have her series on the kitchen tv just to put me in the mood . Plus her recipes seem to work for me .

Jamie too , I love his enthusiasm .

Nigel Slater , not so keen . I love his writing , love his books , in fact his Fast Food was the book that launched my cookery book addiction, but somehow , I can’t watch him.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/06/2019 21:55

Anyone for Heston then?

My DC eyeroll when I "Nigel" something onto the plate . Instead of just dolloping food , I ease it off the spoon a la Mr Slater. It has to look like it leaves the spoon of its own accord in its eagerness to be eaten.

Or if DS back is turned I make little Jenga Towers with his chips Grin.

cricketmum84 · 28/06/2019 21:59

I absolutely adore Raymond Blanc. I love how he chuckles over nothing all the time and I smile every time he exclaims "et voila!!"

I can't stand nigella. That daft smile she plasters in all the time just turns my stomach and the whole spoon licking, sexual stuff she does just makes me want to twat her one 😂😂😂

AnnieOH1 · 28/06/2019 21:59

Number 1 has to be Marco Pierre White for me, I would struggle to out someone in 2nd next to him tbh. I can't be doing with Gordon Ramsey and I wish Jamie Oliver would disappear off the face of the earth. Raymond Blanc is a worthy mention.

Jack Monroe and Miguel Barclay, oh and Allegra McEvedy are all fab for every day cooking too.

Pasithea · 28/06/2019 22:02

I want to marry Nigel Slater. He can stay gay that’s ok as long as he cooks. Love his cookbooks.
Like James Martin and his books.
Love Marcus Waring ate at his restaurant once.

Peitho · 28/06/2019 22:04

I love Nigel's herb garden.

Not a euphemism.

AdaColeman · 28/06/2019 22:04

I like Giorgio Locatelli for his enthusiasm and exuberance, and the unusual combinations he adds to classic dishes. I especially enjoyed the programmes that he did with Andrew Graham-Dixon.

I like Nige too, because he thinks about what he's doing and why, and he bares his soul a little bit.

I'm not keen on the Hairy Bikers, they shout too much for comfort, and it all seems a bit too much of an ego trip for Rick Stein though I know most chefs have huge egos, and I'm not keen on the chap who does Master Chef either, though I'm sure they are all lovely in real life.

stucknoue · 28/06/2019 22:05

Nigel Slater, though Rick Stein a runner up

MarshaBradyo · 28/06/2019 22:07

Marcus Wareing very sexy

Anthony Bourdain for role in The Big Short

soberken · 28/06/2019 22:07

Marco Pierre White - the rock god of the kitchen

Theghosttrain · 28/06/2019 22:08

Tommy Banks. He doesn't need to cook anything, he can just stand there in his apron.....

booksandcaffeine · 28/06/2019 22:08

Gordon Ramsay, Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti.

I do like John Torode too.

Jamie Oliver can get in the sea.

booksandcaffeine · 28/06/2019 22:10

Forgot about Heston, I like him. Very innovative.

Winenotttea · 28/06/2019 22:10

Ah yes, Raymond’s “et voila” gets me every time, as does his constant need for praise from Adam 😂
