What’s your all time favourite sandwich?

My fancy one is coronation chicken on malted brown bread with spinach leaves.
My secret shame one is cheese, mayo, cucumber and crisp sandwich on white bread.

I now want both for dinner

Ooh, egg mayonnaise with prawns and spinach just lush. Got to be very fresh thick sliced bread of any variety!

Feta, avocado and crispy lettuce with Stokes sticky pickle on any tasty wholemeal/seeded bread.

If I’m going for a cold sandwich, I like cheese and onion on white bread. Not a work day lunch if you work within 5 feet of another human being, though. Breath killer.

When I lived in Melbourne I used to get lamb kebab sandwiches from Victoria Market. Fresh bread, shredded lamb, salad, mayo. Every component of the sandwich was perfect. Just delicious.

Messy but lush!

I like most sandwiches but if I i have all the goods I am partial to rye bread, one side spread with mayo the other English mustard. Slices of thin ham, German salami, jalapeños, rubber cheese slices (Edam or similar) and pickled gherkin.

I might add a bit of red onion if I have some.

I think tomato with a bit of mayo and salt and pepper is quite tasty

Grated cheese, ham and pickle on thick, crusty homemade bread.

Or pastrami, emmental, squirty mustard and pickled cucumber on rye.

White bread buttered, corned beef, Brandon pickle, toast both sides under the grill

I will never be able to have my favourite sandwich again

Standard sliced white bread, can't believe it's not butter and then Bernard Matthews turkey burgers. Bloody Jamie Oliver and his war on turkey twizzlers meant that the turkey burger recipe got changed to something really disgusting. I assume that I'm not the only one who hated the new version as you can't even get them anymore so assume that nobody was buying them.

Brown multi-seed bread, Cropwell Bishop Stilton, chunky mango chutney and (green) seedless grapes mmmmm

Brie and grapes with onion chutney
Onion bhaji with mango chutney, salad and raita
Cheese, tomato and cucumber with mayonnaise
Ham hock and picalilli
Salt beef with mustard and gherkins
Falafel and hummus with roasted peppers
Chicken, avocado and salsa
Prawn cocktail Walkers crisps

I like a bagel with chicken tikka, lettuce and a little mayo. Cut in half.

Roast chicken, stuffing and gravy roll with a blob of cranberry.

Heaven in a bap.

Ooooo forgot about fish finger sandwiches.

Must have ketchup one aside, mayo t'other though.

Ooh goats cheese, caramelised onion relish and rocket on a lovely nutty granary.

But the guilty pleasure has gotta be cheese and cucumber on white bread with black pepper and salad cream. And a bag of Seabrook's ready salted crinkle crisps on the side. Delicious.

As a kid I really liked tayto sandwiches with butter. I couldn't stomach it now though.

Philadelphia and marmite

Bacon.

Bread still warm from the bakery, lots of hot bacon, sometimes with a little camembert sliced in or a fried egg.

Roast chicken with paprika, cumin and chilli powder sprinkled on generously
Mango chutney
Spinach or rocket
Yoghurt instead of butter
On crusty but not too crusty bread, heated in oven for a little bit

Uncouth - two crusts of white bread (yes I save them), butter, grated cheese, lashings of Branston, iceberg lettuce and grated carot.

Posh - Smoked salmon, dill & lemon mousse on granary bread.

I am rather partial to white bread with cheese, marmite and cucumber.

Pastrami on ciabatta with salad, French's mustard and a little pickle.
Grated (not sliced) sharp cheddar with mayo, salad cream, French's and salad. And some ready salted crisps.
Fish finger, ketchup and salad cream.
Lincolnshire sausage, ketchup, dash of mustard.

I love sandwiches so much I want to be buried in a sandwich.
