What’s your all time favourite sandwich?

My fancy one is coronation chicken on malted brown bread with spinach leaves.
My secret shame one is cheese, mayo, cucumber and crisp sandwich on white bread.

I now want both for dinner

Oh, my guilty pleasure sandwich is sliced white bread, thickly spread norpak & wotsits. Apple sauce for dipping!

this is very difficult as there are so many nice ones but if it counts, a toasted cheese sandwich with tomato is one of my favourites! not sure a toastie is a sandwich though.

I have a top ten favourite list I use whatever bread I have on hand or if I am trying to be organized and am meal prepping then I buy different types of bread for whichever sandwich I am planning to have during the week.

Sandwich fillings in no particular order:

1. Prawn cocktail with extra seafood sauce
2. Toasted marshmallows and chocolate
3. Grilled cheese with jalapeños
4. Egg salad
5. Leftover curry
6. Tuna, mayo and sweetcorn
7. Sausage, mash and gravy
8. Peanut butter and jam/jelly
9. Chicken fajita

10. Cucumber

Goats cheese, rocket and caramelised onion chutney on thick slices of tiger bread for me!

I'm partial to a simple egg mayonnaise, cheese and pickle or ham and tomato.

Banana. Nothing else comes close.

Chicken, bacon & avocado or tuna mayo. I also love tinned tongue & English mustard on soft white bread. Yum

White bread, fish fingers, tartare sauce, cucumber, lettuce, red onions and tomatoes

Non cooked favourite - brown bread, mexicana cheese, garlic mayo, jalapeños, cucumber and tomatoes

Crab and cucumber on poppyseed
Brie, bacon and pear chutney in a parbake baguette
Turkey, emmental, tomato, rocket in a panini. (Toasted)

My all time ever, ever ever was from M&S from maybe the late 80s early 90s. Dark blue packet.
Turkey, ham, mayo on malt bread. I have tried and failed to recreated it millions of times but to no avail.
I can still taste it tho.

Honesty? I've never met a sandwich I didn't like.

fancy chicken and avocado on soda bread

Mine is fat white catering pan (classy) with garlic mayo, egg mayo, maple rashers and vintage cheddar.

Wotsits. Cheap white sliced bread, no butter, laden with wotsits, fold over and scoff. Also good is primula or dairylea with skips or wotsits.

Not really a sarnie lover EXCEPT for my Boxing Day baguette .

Warm baguette
Lashings of butter, a generous smear of cranberry sauce on one side and thin spread of mayo on the other
Turkey
Stuffing
Pigs in blankets
Maybe a sliced roast potato or two
Drizzle of gravy

Cheese and pickle on thick multi seeded bread.

Banana sandwich is my comfort sandwich.
Chip butty goes down well too.
My bog standard work sandwich is ham salad 😀

Ciabatta/baguette
Toasted with a slightly spicy tomato chutney, roasted peppers & goats cheese or Brie until melted. Topped with a handful of mixed leaves, Serrano ham and a spread of mayonnaise.
Was my absolute go to when I worked in a deli/sandwich place years ago

Has anyone tried the Ross-from-Friends extra middle slice soaked in gravy option?

It sounds like a winner.

Egg, cucumber, tomato, cheese, salad cream, black pepper.

Or cream cheese and grapes.

Or pot noodle

Cream cheese and dates on a seeded bread

Chicken pot noodle and cottage cheese.
