Why is the weather so crap this summer?

It hasn't stopped raining here for 24 hours! And looking at the forecast it's more of the same into tommorrow. How can it possibly rain for so long without stopping? This follows weeks of it alternating almost hourly between rain and sunshine and then back again. It's all so depressing and dark. I'm really missing the light and the feel of sun of sun on my skin.

I'm amazed that the media haven't picked up on how awful it's been yet? There must be a reason for it?

Typically it's warm for the end of the college year (end of June) and then maybe into July. Often breaks as the kids finish school for summer. Last year's nice weather was over by our August holiday. School runs and work in beautiful beach weather then jeans and bloody cardigans for the beach 😫. DS2 is really struggling with this weather now. His autism becomes a lot more obvious in prolonged bad weather and greyness. Like SAD or something.

Yes - and then September is very often absolutely glorious.
