DS 14 gone to a party 10 mins away. Was staying over in tent in garden with the boys just rang sounds upset wants to come home and not stay. He doesnt really like staying away but thought this time he would. Im now panicking as got baby in bed asleep DH working can not leave.

10 mins walk or 10 mins by car? I’d just send a cab, I think.

Sugaronjam · 08/06/2019 22:36

Taxi or just take the baby in the car and hope they go back to sleep.

Rarfy · 08/06/2019 22:36

Definitely taxi I think or get baby up. A 14yr old upset doesn't sound too good I'd want him home.

AbbyHammond · 08/06/2019 22:36

I'd just get the baby up, it's not like they need to be up for school tomorrow Confused

MollyHuaCha · 08/06/2019 22:36

Take baby in taxi.

IvanaPee · 08/06/2019 22:37

Can you speak to party parent and see if they’ll drop him home?

If he was at my house I’d drop him no problem!

IamHyouweegobshite · 08/06/2019 22:37

I would get the baby out of bed, in car seat and collect ds.

Fantasisa · 08/06/2019 22:37

Send a taxi, or bundle the baby up in bed. Nothing worse than being a teenager and wanting to come home, I remember the feeling well.

Finebyme99 · 08/06/2019 22:37

Is there any adults at the party that could bring him home? The parents of someone?

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 08/06/2019 22:37

Wake the baby up and go fetch him. They will soon settle back off sleep.

Fantasisa · 08/06/2019 22:37

bundle the baby up and pop him/her in the car I mean.

threestars · 08/06/2019 22:37

Take baby with you, regardless of whether you wake him/her up. Probably took a lot for DS to call you.

IvanaPee · 08/06/2019 22:37

Or can a Neighbour sit with baby?

Beamur · 08/06/2019 22:37

Wake the baby and collect DS.

ThePhoenixRises · 08/06/2019 22:38

Do you drive?

Can he run home?

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 08/06/2019 22:39

I’d do as pp have suggested & just wake the baby up & get him.

Butterymuffin · 08/06/2019 22:41

Yep take baby with you to get him.

DramaRamaLlama · 08/06/2019 22:42

Take the baby in the car.

I'm not sure why this is even a dilemma Confused

elephantoverthehill · 08/06/2019 22:44

At the age of 14 I would tell him to tough it out, he decided to go.

MamaOfBothTeams · 08/06/2019 22:49

Take the baby with you, I know it's a pain waking them when settled but won't take too much to get baby back off and your son needs you, he's 14 so probably took a lot for him to call you

IamHyouweegobshite · 08/06/2019 22:50

@elephant no way should he tough it out. He's 14, I know if my 14 ds called I would get him, you don't know what's going on, and if he's asking for help you should be there for him.

SD1978 · 08/06/2019 22:50

Personally I'd want to joke why he suddenly didn't want to stay- has something happened at the party? He needs to let the parents know he's going if you can't persuade him to stay, and I'd get them to call the taxi, or call an Uber.

SD1978 · 08/06/2019 22:50

Know even. Not joke.
